Thank you for so diligently supporting our 2026 Summer Offering to the Montana Synod Hunger Fund. Many campers opt to share their remaining canteen funds to support our summer offering recipient and it adds up quickly. From the Montana Synod website, “The Montana Synod Hunger Fund grants money to local organizations tackling food insecurity. Your support provides immediate relief, like recent Thanksgiving baskets in Dutton and weekly meals through Helping
Hands in Great Falls. 100% of donations are distributed via grants twice a year. Thank you for joining us in caring for our neighbors throughout Montana and northern Wyoming.”

Did you know we have a museum quality Creation Center at Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp? Thanks to the expertise of Pr. Ken Olson, we have an entire cabin dedicated to learning how God‘s creation and science go hand in hand as we learn about the world around us. Summer campers can opt to check out the Creation Center during their free time. Environmental education groups also use this space to learn about fossils, plants and animals in this area, how to date trees, local geography, and so much more. If you know of a group that would enjoy the Creation Center, reach out to Justin at [email protected].

Day campers spent time in the garden this summer learning about vegetables, God’s amazing and creative creation, and how we can all work together to feed people. A big shout out to everyone who has volunteered in FLBC’s garden over the years👏👏

May the Lord give you rest today. May God the Creator restore your soul and give you peace.

We need YOUR help! Join us Sept 4-6 for a FREE weekend at Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp. Why free you ask? The answer is simple- many hands make light work and we have summer cleanup tasks that need attention before the weather changes. But it’s not all work and no play! We will enjoy great food, games, swimming, worship, and so much more during our time together. Can’t stay for the weekend? That’s fine. Join us for a day. Register at www.flbc.com

Join us at the Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp Women’s Retreat, Sept 11-13, as we explore the theme, “As You Love Yourself: Recovering the Missing Half of the Greatest Commandment.” Guest speakers Cali Salmond (Life and Health Coach) and Dr. Erin Richer (Certified Spiritual Director) will help us unpack how we can better serve our neighbors when we ourselves are cared for. This weekend is about taking time to learn, create, and care for ourselves and one another in a setting that allows us to rest and rejuvenate. Cost $250, includes housing, meals, snacks, beverages, etc. Register by Sept. 4 @ www.flbc.net

About this year’s theme:
When you forget an important appointment, disappoint someone you love, or realize you have fallen short—what does the voice inside you say?

When a friendship begins to slip away, when you sense rejection or betrayal, when someone chooses distance instead of closeness—what story do you tell yourself about who you are?

These questions matter.

Jesus tells us to love our neighbors as ourselves.
Have you ever stopped to ask:

Would my neighbor want to be loved the way I love myself?

Would the voice that perhaps judges our own mistakes, questions our worth, and logs the ways we could have done more be good news if we turned it toward someone else?

Many of us learned to begin the Christian story with Genesis 3: our sinfulness, our failure, our need to be rescued. And without realizing it, the way we learned to see ourselves became the way we learned to see other people, too.

But what if we begin our spiritual narrative somewhere else?

What if we learn to see ourselves and one another as beloved? As people bearing the image of God, worthy of compassion and tenderness even in our most deeply human and broken places?

At this year’s Women’s Retreat, we’ll explore what it might mean for Jesus’ invitation to love your neighbor as yourself to actually be good news—for your neighbor…and for you.

Transformative. Life changing. Christ-centered. Fun. Joyful. Camp magic. “Best week of my life!” These are the words we heard over and over this summer as we welcomed 800+ campers to Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp. The love of Christ was shared through worship, laughter, meals, prayers, friendship, shared adventures, and Bible study.

BIG thanks to everyone who made this summer possible. We had a fantastic group of volunteers who jumped right in to help with worship, Bible study, and Discovery Time. Our volunteer nurses and doctors helped keep everyone safe and healthy. Our counselors helped bring the 💫MAGIC💫 into every single day. Our Program Directors-Elizabeth, Justin, and Riley- mixed things up to keep every week fresh and new. Our kitchen staff served hundreds of meals. The maintenance crew kept buildings and paths maintained and functioning. It truly does take a village to create this type of mountain top experience- where everyone feels the love of their Creator and the bright light of the Holy Spirit.

As this summer ends, may each of you who were part of this FLBC community extend the love and grace you felt here into your part of the world. May you go forth in peace, filled with the Holy Spirit.
