Heads Up! The Ramona Grasslands Open Space Preserve will be busy on Saturday, March 14. There are two big hikes planned for that morning- The SD Natural History Museum Canyoneers as well as the Rock Church. Both have hikes planned that morning. It’d be best if equestrians waited to visit until after 11am that day or they may have difficulty with parking.

We had a great ride at Horse Thief Canyon. There was a lot of water in the pond with a waterfall flowing. The winds held off until our ride was over. Enjoy the photos.

We had a great President’s Day weekend horse camping in the Anza-Borrego Desert at Stagecoach RV camp. We had one short rain shower with a beautiful rainbow afterwards. Enjoy the photos.

LFR had a great club ride on January 13th at Ramona Grasslands. It was perfect winter weather!!!

LFR had a wonderful Christmas party last Saturday. We give a big thank you to Nancy and Hoyt for opening their beautiful home for our party. Of course, we had too much great food, and the gift exchange was lots of fun. I hope you enjoy the photos.

URGENT HELP NEEDED! Please attend the meeting tonight and fill out the online form with the City of Chula Vista to let them know you want the arena saved!!!

City of Chula Vista and San Diego County Parks & Rec want horses OUT of Rohr Park (formerly Bonita now under control of Chula Vista)
They plan to turn the historic Sunnyside Saddle Club Riding Arena into soft ball and soccer fields.

THEY SAY EQUESTRIANS DON’T CARE!!!!
WE equestrians NEED to tell authorities not to do this!

Meeting tonight, December 2nd!!!
As a follow up to the equestrian area at Rohr Park and the arena that we want to save: We need a strong showing and lots of people to attend the City of Chula Vista Council Meeting on Tuesday December 2 at 5:00 P.M. at 276 Fourth Ave. Chula Vista. Put in a request to speak and keep it simple and respectful. We can influence the outcome by staying strong! Lets be positive and show the City we are worth keeping the Equine Facility in Rhor Park. PLEASE ATTEND THIS MEETING!
