Pics of yesterdays Lakeside Ca.
I love picking these old pics apart.
Several interesting things here for me, at center right hand side you'll see a sign that says "Lakeside Feed Store", it would appear that there has been a feed store at that location for some time, JC Feed is there now. The old cars were used as work vehicles, notice the trailer hitched to the back of the car on the left, and a tent on Vine st, what could that tent have been used for?
And on upper right you can see the lemon orchard in Lemon Crest.
I wonder if the photographer realized that sometime in the future the viewer would notice anything other that what he was aiming to capture here, the lumber yard, (Kibbys) or was he looking at landscape as well. Love the Cottonwood trees.
Photo is looking south, Los Coches Valley in the background.

Lots of detail, notice the lake is dry, and not one, but 2 Quonset huts.
