There are situations in life that simply do not make sense.

Most of us have encountered people whose behavior leaves us deeply confused. We may quietly wonder if there are struggles happening beneath the surface that have never been diagnosed or addressed. The situation can feel painful, exhausting, and impossible to figure out.

I remember trying so hard to understand a difficult family situation in my own life. I kept analyzing it, trying to make sense of things that simply didn’t make sense. One day, a wise intercessor friend said something that changed my perspective forever.

She looked at me and said, “Deanna, you’re trying so hard to figure this out, but God already knows exactly what it is. Pray with that understanding.”

That ministered deeply to me.

The truth is, sometimes we may never receive explanations. People may never seek help. They may never admit there is a problem. They may never tell us what is really going on. But none of that limits God.

God sees clearly what we cannot see.
God understands what we cannot understand.
And God knows how to move in situations we cannot fix.

There is such peace in realizing that we do not have to carry the burden of diagnosing, solving, or untangling everything ourselves. We can place it into the hands of our all-knowing Father.

Psalm 139:1 says, “O Lord, You have searched me and known me.”

What a comfort to know that the God who fully knows us also fully knows the people and situations that burden our hearts.

Today, if you are carrying confusion about someone you love, remember this: You may not have all the answers, but God does. And He is still able to work powerfully in situations you cannot fully explain.

Lord, thank You that nothing is hidden from You. When situations confuse us and relationships weigh heavily on our hearts, help us trust Your wisdom above our own understanding. Give us peace where we lack answers and faith to believe that You are still working.

Deanna

There are seasons in leadership where the pressure suddenly feels heavier.

Discouragement increases.
Misunderstandings arise.
Fatigue deepens.
And even simple decisions can begin to feel spiritually weighty.

If you are walking through a season like that right now, we want to encourage you today: warfare does not always mean you are doing something wrong. Sometimes opposition intensifies because responsibility is increasing.

In today’s devotional, Dr. Deanna Shrodes shares encouragement for leaders navigating spiritual pressure, discouragement, and the battle that often comes before a new level of assignment.

We pray this strengthens your heart today. ❤️

Sometimes the greatest spiritual resistance comes right before a new level of growth, calling, or breakthrough. The enemy rarely fights what is not moving.

If you have felt unusually weary, discouraged, distracted, emotionally overwhelmed, or even tempted to quit lately, it may not mean you are failing. It may mean you are advancing.

Throughout Scripture, new assignments were often accompanied by warfare. Before David wore a crown, he faced giants. Before Esther stepped into influence, she walked through fear and risk. Before Jesus began public ministry, He faced temptation in the wilderness.

New levels often require new strength, deeper dependence on God, and greater spiritual discernment.

Do not panic because the battle feels intense. Stay grounded in prayer. Stay in the Word. Stay connected to healthy people who strengthen your faith. And most importantly, do not abandon your position because of pressure. The very resistance you are feeling may be confirmation that something significant is ahead.

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” — Ephesians 6:11

Today, I pray that God would strengthen you for the season you are heading into. I pray that you would not grow weary in the battle...that you would have discernment, endurance, peace, and courage. May God show you how to fight from a place of victory and not fear.

Deanna

As leaders, we spend a lot of time thinking about what we’re going to say.

But what are we carrying into the room before we ever speak?

Peace?
Pressure?
Calm?
Urgency?
Steadiness?
Anxiety?

Jesus told His disciples, “When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’” (Luke 10:5)

This week’s devotional from Dr. Deanna is about stewarding our presence well and becoming the kind of leaders people can rest around.

Long after people forget what we preached, organized, or accomplished, they often remember how they felt in our presence.

Being a part of the Stronger Leadership Cohort has truly been transformational for me. It has not only strengthened me personally, but it has also helped me grow deeply in my ministry and leadership. Through this journey, I’ve gained wisdom, confidence, and practical tools that are shaping me into a stronger leader, a better servant, and a more effective woman of God.

One of the greatest blessings has been learning from the older generation... their wisdom, faithfulness, and experiences have poured into me in ways that have challenged me, stretched me, and inspired me. It has shown me that no matter your age or season of life, there is always room to grow, always more to learn, and always greater purpose ahead.

This cohort has sharpened my voice, expanded my vision, and equipped me to lead with greater intention in the ministry God has called me to. I’m so grateful for the growth, the community, and the reminder that leadership is not about age it’s about being willing to learn, serve, and keep growing.

If you’ve been thinking about stepping into something like this, do it. You never know how much God can develop you when you say yes to growth. 🤍

Something powerful is happening this summer… and we want you to be part of it.

PF Women is hitting the road again with our Summer Tour Stops across Florida, and these gatherings are more than events. They are moments set apart for women to encounter God in a fresh way.

At each stop, you’ll experience:

Meaningful worship
A powerful, relevant word
Intentional altar moments
Authentic connection with women in your region

There’s something special about being in the room with women who are hungry for more—more of God, more clarity, more strength for what He’s called them to.

And yes… you just might meet your new best friend along the way.

Every event is completely FREE.

So come as you are—but come expectant.

We believe God is already preparing something for you this summer. Not just a moment… but a turning point.

Some of you may be carrying tender feelings today.

Mother’s Day can be beautiful for some, but painful for others. Social media fills the feed with photos, celebrations, flowers, gatherings, and smiling families, and sometimes it can quietly magnify the ache of what feels missing in our own lives.

Maybe you longed to be celebrated and weren’t.
Maybe you’re grieving a mother.
Maybe you’re grieving a child.

Maybe you wanted children and life unfolded differently than you hoped.

Maybe your relationship with your children is strained.

Maybe you spent the day serving everyone else while feeling unseen yourself.

If that’s you, I want to remind you of something important today:

Your value was never determined by a holiday, a post, a bouquet, or whether someone publicly acknowledged you.

You are deeply seen by God.

In Scripture, we see women who carried silent grief, disappointment, loneliness, and longing. Hagar felt abandoned in the wilderness, yet God met her there and revealed Himself as El Roi, “the God who sees me.” Hannah carried heartbreak for years before her story changed. Mary stood at the cross in unimaginable sorrow. God did not overlook any of them, and He does not overlook you.

Comparison is especially dangerous after days like yesterday. Social media often shows highlight reels, not the full story. What appears perfect online may still carry private pain behind the scenes. Don’t measure your worth against carefully filtered snapshots of someone else’s life.

Today, if your heart feels heavy, let the Lord gently steady you.

You do not have to perform to be loved.
You do not have to compete to matter.
You do not have to earn your place in God’s heart.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18

Take a deep breath today.
Step away from comparison.

Let yourself rest in the presence of the God who sees, knows, and loves you completely.

You are not forgotten.
You are not behind.
And you are not alone. ❤️

Your friend,
Deanna
