🌧️👑 NO KINGS: VOTE EARLY — LAKELAND, LET’S GET PREPARED! 👑🌧️
Tomorrow, Saturday, October 17, we’re showing up for our community, our democracy, and our right to make our voices heard! ✊
A few things to know before you head downtown:
☔ PREPARE FOR RAIN! Florida weather does what it wants, so bring a poncho or rain jacket, waterproof shoes, and a small umbrella if you need one. A plastic bag for your phone and other belongings is a smart idea, too. Check the forecast before leaving!
🚗 PLAN YOUR PARKING AHEAD OF TIME. Downtown Lakeland will be EXTRA busy with No Kings, the Downtown Farmers Curb Market, the Lake Mirror Classic car show, and other events happening around the area. Expect heavier traffic, crowded streets, and possible road closures. Give yourself extra travel time and consider carpooling.

City-owned parking lots, garages, and on-street spaces are generally FREE on weekends. Check posted signs, as private lots may charge fees or restrict parking.
🚶 SAFETY FIRST! Please use designated crosswalks to get to your destination. Watch for traffic, follow pedestrian signals, and stay alert. With so many events downtown, let’s all do our part to keep everyone safe!
💧 BRING THE ESSENTIALS: Water, comfortable shoes, sunscreen if the sun comes out, any needed medications, and a portable phone charger. Bring a folding chair if you need one.
🤝 LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER. Be patient with your fellow community members, follow event safety guidance, and keep our gathering peaceful, welcoming, and accessible.
