🐾❤️ IT'S $5 FRIDAY - TODAY IS FOR KENNY and the rest of the pups still needing vet care! ❤️🐾
Another emergency. Another dog who desperately needs us. This morning we received a call about a dog found in the middle of the road, hit by a car. We've named him Kenny. He went to Prairie Ridge Animal Hospital to assess the medical care he will require. He has no broken bones, thankfully, but the vet does believe he was hit by a car; was probably lying in the ditch for a few days and finally had the strength to pull himself onto the asphalt for heat. He has road burn, fur loss from licking wounds, his eye is extremely swollen and needs a corneal stain. He is covered in fleas and has a terrible yeast infection. He is severely dehydrated, probably hasn't eaten in a long time. Poor guy is just a mess and was not well cared for. Based on his condition, he may have even been a puppy mill dog that was tossed out when he wasn't needed anymore. He will be staying in the hospital overnight with IV fluids, medications, have a heartworm test (pray it's negative please!), full panel bloodwork, and whatever else he needs. We need your help! With your donations, we can cover his bill and help him through his recovery. He is NOT chipped!

Our veterinary bills just keep growing. And the dogs who need us keep coming. That's why we're asking for just $5 this Friday from all of our supporters, friends and followers! As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue, we rely entirely on donations to make these lifesaving decisions possible.

Please donate if you can, and SHARE if you can't. Every $5 donations matters, and every share helps us reach someone who might be able to help.

Pup-date!! Pollux (broken leg puppy) is doing great other than he doesn’t understand why he can’t do his normal puppy energy things right now. He is able to put weight on the leg now in short intervals. He gets his staples out in two weeks and then a final check two weeks after that so he should be good to go in about a month! His fosters have been completely totally amazing! I am obsessed with his ears. They have got to be the cutest!
Please continue to donate towards his bill. We still have to cover it even though he is doing better!!
