The Grove Youth

Youth ministry at First Presbyterian Church exists to bring Glory to Jesus Christ. We are a Bible believing Youth group based out of Lake Placid, Florida.

We know that middle school and high school is a very important time in the life of a teenager with many important decisions being made daily. Our youth group focus's on the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus; and the importance of discipleship in our youth culture. Our youth directors are Tim and Barbra Sewell and they have been serving here for 5 years.

Darrell was a committed leader for our youth. He drove our youth to many camps, retreats and always showed up when needed. Please continue to pray for the Eckblad family. There will be a Celebration of Life service this Saturday @ 3pm in the Genesis Center.

Darrell W. Eckblad, 46, of Lake Placid, FL, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Darrell was born on February 15, 1978, in Buffalo, Minnesota to Lois Erickson and Leonard Eckblad.
