Camp weather report: ☔🌲

Puddles have formed across camp.

Campers have determined they must be tested.

Today's scientific experiment involved one camper, one puddle, and absolutely zero hesitation.

The results were exactly what you'd expect.

While the rain may have changed a few plans, it certainly hasn't changed the fun. Around here, a rainy day just means new adventures, muddier shoes, and bigger splashes.

As it turns out, sometimes the best part of camp isn't avoiding the puddles.

It's jumping right into them.

Camp Families. We are moving campers to the JAC as tornado sirens have gone off in Lake Geneva. We're keeping our eyes open.

Rain, rain, go away! 🌧️☀️

Rain may have changed some of our plans today, but it also gave us a chance to slow down and remember a powerful story from Matthew 14:22-33.

As the disciples faced wind and waves, Jesus met them right in the middle of the storm and reminded them that they were not alone. Camp doesn't always look exactly how we expect it to, but some of the best moments happen when we trust God through the unexpected.

Today, cabins gathered indoors, friendships grew a little stronger, laughter echoed through the buildings, and campers were reminded that Jesus is with us in every part of the journey, sunshine and rain alike. 💙🌧️🏕️

Hey camp families! ☔

We are keeping our eyes and ears open for overnight showers and storms.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected at times early Wednesday morning and throughout the day into Wednesday night, with a conditional threat for a few strong to severe thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and early evening.

Our counselors and staff will stay weather aware and if the need arises bring campers to safe spaces before bad weather reaches camp.

Otherwise... we'll keep playing in the rain!

Sailing went well last week during the first week of summer camp at Covenant Harbor.

No really, it went really well. Like best ever!

As you pass through Covenant Harbor, you're walking through an active summer camp and retreat center. We welcome thousands of campers, guests, and visitors each year, and we're grateful to share this beautiful stretch of shoreline with the community.

To help everyone have a safe and enjoyable experience, please remember:

🌲 Stay on the designated Shore Path
🚶 Camp buildings, cabins, activity areas, and program spaces are off limits to walkers
🚻 Public restrooms are not available
🐕 Keep pets leashed and under control
🗑️ Please help keep the shoreline beautiful by carrying out any trash
📸 Be mindful that campers and guests may be participating in programs nearby

Rain was falling. Umbrellas were everywhere. Suitcases were getting wet. ☔💛

Yesterday's check-in for Week 2 didn't exactly come with perfect summer weather, but our campers, families, and staff showed exactly what camp is all about, flexibility, positivity, and a willingness to embrace the adventure no matter what comes our way.

Parents navigated puddles. Campers carried their gear through the rain. Counselors greeted everyone with smiles, energy, and more than a few soggy camp shirts.

Because camp isn't about perfect weather.

It's about friendships waiting to be made, faith waiting to grow, and experiences that are worth getting a little wet for.

Thank you to all of our families for rolling with the weather and helping us launch another incredible week of camp.

The rain may have joined us for check-in, but the adventure is officially underway.
