🔨 Youth Build in Action!

Our Elkhorn Youth Build team has been busy building storage sheds for the Whitewater twin homes. The sheds are now ready for shingles and siding!

It’s great to see these young builders gaining hands-on construction experience while helping create homes for local workers. Their hard work is making a difference!

Finishing Touches in Whitewater! 🏡

Our Whitewater homes are getting closer to completion! This week, volunteers added crown molding to kitchen cabinets using leftover materials, painted doors, and helped get appliances delivered and installation underway.

There’s still work to do, and we could use your help!

Bring a friend or gather a team from your workplace, church, or community group. Every volunteer helps move us closer to welcoming homeowners into these homes.

Beyond Walworth County: Partnerships Driving Change 🏡

What does it take to make homeownership possible for more working families? It takes new ideas, strong partnerships, and communities willing to work together.

Here in Walworth County, Habitat partners with cities, builders, banks, schools, a university, and volunteers to create more homeownership opportunities for local workers.

Our Executive Director, John Dawson, recently shared his perspective in Pro Builder, discussing housing affordability and ideas to help more Americans achieve homeownership.

We’re proud to see this conversation reach a national audience while continuing to make a difference right here at home.
