Central Florida Women's League For 34 years, CFWL has been committed to improving the community we live in. We focus on three key areas.

Charitable Granting
Each year, CFWL members submit charity recommendations to our Charitable Granting Committee. Once vetted, the Committee visits the selected charities to learn more about their mission and needs. Due to the amazing synergy of CFWL and its members, we have awarded more than 100 grants totaling over $3 million. Scholarships
Annually, CFWL awards up to 10 young women with funding t

o assist with college expenses. Student eligibility is determined based upon academic achievement, financial need and community involvement. We have awarded scholarships to over
200 students, for a total of $560,000. Community Service
We support our community through service and compassion funding. We partner with charities that have previously received funding from us to work on service projects.

One of the most powerful moments of Power of the Purse came when Sara Meyers of Eight Waves took the stage.

Sara shared how the Central Florida Women’s League grant made an impact for Eight Waves and our community. Eight Waves works in under-resourced neighborhoods to support children, youth, and families — building the healthy support systems they need to thrive and empowering them to create lasting change in their own lives.

She ended with a story that left tears in the eyes of nearly everyone in the room — a reminder that the work we do together truly changes lives.

Moments like this remind us why the Central Florida Women’s League comes together each year: to create real impact for our community and the next generation.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Central Florida Women’s League signature fundraiser at the Four Seasons Orlando. It was a beautiful afternoon filled with friendship, fun, and a shared commitment to making a difference in our community.

While Power of the Purse is a wonderful day to gather, it’s also so much more. Every dollar raised supports Charitable Grants and Scholarships that benefit organizations and students right here in Central Florida.

Through our collective efforts, we are able to give back to the community and support causes that make a real difference. By working together, we pool our resources, ideas, and dedication to help organizations that serve those in need.

This year, we are proud to have awarded four grants to organizations that are making a meaningful impact in Central Florida. These grants will help support their programs, expand their services, and continue the important work they do for our community.

Our mission is not only about fellowship and connection among women, but also about empowering change, supporting local initiatives, and strengthening the community we call home.
