Dear Members of the Central Florida Concierge Association,

It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our longstanding member A. D. Van de Mark, “Van”. He passed away peacefully last Tuesday in his Orlando home.
Van was a valued member of the CFCA for many years, and for a time, part of the Board of Directors as treasurer.

In his early years, and while working for The City of Orlando, he attended the prestigious Rollins College in the evenings, where he obtained a degree in Business Management.
After 23 years of service magic, he retired from WDW at his favorite Yacht and Beach Club Resort.
Van was a dear personal friend as well as colleague. As an Orlando native, he was already a member of this association when I first started working at The Dolphin Hotel. I always admired his knowledge, integrity, love for life, adventure, and travel. There are few places in the world that he had not visited. He enjoyed fast cars, and he even possessed a pilot licence to fly a private plane.

Our condolences go to his children and grandchildren that will miss him.

Following his family’s wishes, there will be no memorial services at this time, but I hope you can keep Van in your thoughts.

Sincerely,

Nekane Alvarez
President
Central Florida Concierge Association
