You can purchase all-you-can-eat breakfast for $24 (we have Mickey waffles), no cost for potential Rotarians. A unique feature of our Rotary Club is that we are the only civic organization granted the privilege and honor of wearing the iconic mouse ears in our Rotary badges and banners, an honor bestowed upon our Club during the original charter in the early 1970s. With that in mind , the Rotary C

lub of Lake Buena Vista continues its magical legacy by hosting Rotarians from every country around the world who attend our Club’s weekly breakfast meeting every Thursday morning at 7:15 AM at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort—Orlando’s best known tourism district.

What a wonderful way to celebrate Father’s Day! 💙

The Rotary Club of Lake Buena Vista had a fantastic time at New Image Youth Center helping the kids create personalized coasters to give as Father’s Day gifts. Seeing their creativity, excitement, and pride in making something special for the father figures in their lives made for a truly memorable event.

On this evening our Rotary Club celebrated a year of service and look ahead to the future! Wrapped up President Dan Ehrlich’s successful term and welcomed President Elect Jennifer Schreiber with an evening of fellowship and fun!

We are thankful to have District Governor Richard Harris, District Governor Elect Michael Franklin, District Governor Designee Roxane Ferguson along with their spouses and Area Governor Mary Ellen Kerber here to induct President Elect Jennifer Schreiber and her Club Board for the 2026 - 2027 term.

President Dan Ehrlich recognized and awarded multiple members for their outstanding efforts through out the year. President Elect Jennifer Schreiber recognized our Club’s gratefulness for Dan’s leadership and vision.

Dan Ehrlich, Jennifer Schreiber, and Karen Ehrlich are having an incredible time representing the Rotary Club of Lake Buena Vista at the Rotary International Convention alongside more than 38,000 Rotarians from over 140 countries.

Each day has been filled with inspiring speakers, meaningful connections, and a powerful reminder of the impact Rotary has around the world. We can’t wait to bring new ideas, friendships, and inspiration back home to our club!

Past President Jeff Calvert directed our meeting today as our President is making his way over to Taiwan for the 2026 Rotary International Convention.

Thank you for inviting prospective guests: Augustine Campana for inviting Jim Stoddard, Dan Ehrlich for inviting Francisco Gutierrez and Keith Wolling for inviting Jessica Glover.

Our speakers is Dan Samuels, Director Of Philanthropy at Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. Here to give us an update. The fact is that neighbors, friends, family and other people you would not think are in food insecurity are undergoing situations we don’t know about.

Dan let us know they currently work with 800 other non profit organizations that are in the community distributing food to those in need. In addition, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida has been invested in Workforce Development, specifically skills to be able to get work in the culinary arts. Furthermore, other skills that can help obtain employment, such as Resume writing. They have been adjusting to current employment needs, addressing root causes through workforce training. Dan told us a a new program that has 2 career pathways: one is culinary, lasting 10 weeks, and the other customer service, lasting 5 weeks, concentration in hospitality industry. All these programs are funded through donations.

We also learned of a school food pantry program funded by community with the purpose of feeding the future. Currently operating at 91 schools from Kinder Garden to 12th grade, and it is open to all students. Looking to expand to all schools. Dan said that lack of food is the symptom, not the problem.

We are proud to honor, recognize and congratulate our member, Harry Boardman, on his 52 YEAR ANNIVERSARY of being a Rotarian! 👏🏆🎖️ All at our Club. President Dan Ehrlich presented him with 2025 - 2026 Four Way Test Award.

Service Project Chair David Brinckerhoff, along with President Dan Ehrlich, presented a check for $2,000 donation on behalf of Rotary Club of Lake Buena Vista Foundation to Cynthia Borgwing of Rebuild Yourself Inc. Funds are used to work in helping adolescents build self-esteem, confidence, and empathy. Help young people gain the tools they need to overcome challenges, grow personally and academically, and thrive in their communities.

Service Project Chair David Brinckerhoff, along with President Dan Ehrlich, presented a check for $4,000 donation on behalf of Rotary Club of Lake Buena Vista Foundation to Laurel Hayward, Director, Donor Relations & Experiences, and Lashon Brown, Chief Advancement Officer at Valencia College Foundation. Funds are for scholarships for those pursuing careers in high skilled jobs such as HVAC, electrician, hospitality and culinary management / arts. These are 4 to 22 week certificate programs.

Our speakers is George McNeilly, managing partner at McNeilly communications mcneillycomms, here to speak about “It’s good to be grumpy” in business. George experience spans some of the world’s most prestigious stages — from the Olympics and Super Bowls to senior leadership roles at ESPN and The Walt Disney Company — each reinforcing the value of strategic storytelling and measured leadership. He’s not only Managing Partner of McNeilly Communications, but also an educator at Full Sail University.

George McNeilly shared the personality traits that define great leadership. He said that highly functional teams tend to thrive when a pragmatic skeptic is welcomed to the table to challenge the status quo, with the objective of mitigating risks and driving decisive, proactive action that leads to favorable results. He emphasized that different perspective, respect, and kindness matters.
