IBEW Local 668 was proud to have representation at the 41st IBEW International Convention in San Diego, California.
Throughout the week, our elected delegates joined IBEW Brothers and Sisters from across the United States and Canada to discuss the issues, challenges, and opportunities facing our union. Together, delegates participated in the democratic process that guides the future direction of the International Brotherhood and the Local Unions that make up our organization.
The delegates elected by the membership of Local 668 carried the responsibility of representing our members' voices on constitutional matters, elections, and resolutions that came before the convention body.
The convention also serves as a reminder that unity does not require unanimous agreement. Delegates representing different regions, industries, and viewpoints may not always see every issue the same way, but they come together with a common purpose: advancing the interests of IBEW members. Much like society today, there are differing opinions and beliefs throughout our Brotherhood. The strength of the IBEW comes not from everyone thinking alike, but from our ability to have those discussions, respect one another's viewpoints, and continue moving forward together toward shared goals.
In addition to the work conducted on the convention floor, our delegates spent valuable time connecting with fellow IBEW members, sharing ideas, discussing challenges, and learning about successful programs and initiatives from across North America and Canada.
The knowledge, relationships, and experiences gained during the convention will help us continue strengthening IBEW Local 668, serving our membership, and advancing the values of our Brotherhood for years to come.
Thank you to the members of Local 668 for the trust placed in your elected delegates as they represented our Local at the 41st IBEW International Convention.
