Calling all animal lovers! If you're interested in animal behavior and welfare, come to our callout meeting on Tuesday 1/20 at 6pm! We hope to see some familiar faces and some new ones :)

We have one more fundraiser to wrap up the semester! We will be selling hot chocolate from 11 am-1 pm in front of the bell tower this Thursday (12/11).

We had our final meeting of the semester yesterday!! Our members got to participate in Rat Tickling! Rat tickling is incredibly important in research regarding animal welfare. It mimics their natural behaviors so they are more comfortable with researchers handling them.

Our members were able to learn rat tickling, how rats behave in their environment, and how we can maintain good welfare practices in animal research.

Our annual Howl-o-ween event is TOMORROW!! We are very excited to be hosting this event in front of the AGAD building from 5-7 pm. We will have our annual pet costume contest, games, snacks, and more! We hope to see many of you there!

Thank you to all of our wonderful members who came out to our meeting yesterday evening!! These awesome people made dog and cat toys for our upcoming Howl-o-ween fundraiser later this month and blankets for local animal shelters. We had such fun taking ordinary items and creating something special for our furry friends!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our very FIRST meeting of the semester!! It was incredibly educational and fun to learn about captive animal welfare from Columbian Park Zoo’s Lacy Tolliver.

Thank you Lacy for coming to our meeting and teaching all of our members about zoo conservation and informing them of internship opportunities within the Columbian Park Zoo.

The zoo needs volunteers for their Halloween event happening in late October. There is a QR code available in the last slide for those looking for volunteer hours.

We are exciting to see all of our members at our next meeting on 9/30 where we will be making dog and cat toys for our upcoming fundraiser!

Tomorrow night we will be having our first official meeting of the semester!! We will be having a guest from Columbian Park Zoo come to speak to us about their behavior and welfare program. You do not want to miss this! See you there!
