WCAA will be joining our friends from the fire companies serving Whitemarsh Township, Plymouth Township, and Conshohocken Borough for the Colonial Fire Prevention Expo!

🚑 Meet Your Provider: EMT Lindsay!

We’re excited to introduce Lindsay—and congratulate her on recently accepting the role of EMS Platoon Lead! In this position, she’ll help lead our crews, support safe and prepared operations, and maintain the compassionate patient care our community counts on. 💙

🏡 A little about Lindsay: Born and raised in the suburbs of Montgomery County, Lindsay has been an EMT with WCAA for two years. She is currently working toward her AEMT certification to expand her skills and the care she can provide.

🌿 Outside of work: Lindsay enjoys spending time outdoors, running, attending concerts, traveling, and trying new things.

🩺 Why EMS? Caring for others comes naturally to Lindsay. She wanted to spend her days making a difference in people’s lives.

💙 The most rewarding part: Going home after a shift knowing she provided compassion and care to someone in need.

❤️ Her tip for the community: Learn CPR! You never know when an emergency will happen, and knowing what to do could help you save a life.

🚑 Meet Your Provider: Paramedic Mirna!

We’re excited to introduce Mirna—and congratulate her on recently accepting the role of EMS Platoon Lead! In this position, she’ll help lead our crews, support safe and prepared operations, and maintain the compassionate patient care our community counts on. 💙

Raised in South Philadelphia by two immigrant parents, Mirna grew up learning the importance of hard work, appreciation for health care, and giving back. Today, she lives in Delaware County with her husband and their son, whom they welcomed earlier this year. She hopes to pass those same values on to her growing family.

🌿 Outside of work: Mirna enjoys spending time with family and friends and exploring nature preserves and trails.

🩺 Her journey into EMS: Mirna became an EMT in 2020, initially hoping to gain clinical experience for physician assistant school. While serving during the COVID-19 pandemic, she found a passion for prehospital care. That passion led her to paramedic school so she could expand her skills and do even more for her patients.

💙 What means the most to her: Helping patients and families feel at ease during some of their hardest moments. Seeing their relief and gratitude is the most rewarding part of her work.

📝 Mirna’s tip for the community: Keep an updated list of medications, allergies, and medical history readily accessible—especially for older loved ones. Having that information available helps EMS providers when a patient is alone or unable to communicate.
