πŸš’πŸš‘ Training Together to Serve Our Community Better πŸš‘πŸš’

Last night, crews from Whitemarsh Community Ambulance Association, Barren Hill Volunteer Fire Company, and Spring Mill Fire Company came together for a hands-on vehicle rescue training exercise focused on scene size-up, vehicle stabilization, and coordinated incident operations.

Training side-by-side allows our firefighters and EMS providers to strengthen communication, improve teamwork, and practice the critical skills needed during complex vehicle rescue incidents. These exercises help ensure a safe and effective response for both patients and responders when real emergencies occur.

A special thank you to all of the members who dedicated their time to training and to our partner agencies for their continued commitment to excellence and collaboration.

Stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes looks at how our crews prepare to serve the community.

β˜€οΈ With hotter days expected throughout the week, many of us are looking for ways to enjoy the sunshine. Whether you’re relaxing in a hammock like Lindsay after completing her truck check or spending time outdoors with family and friends, don’t forget to make sun safety part of your routine! β˜€οΈ

🧴 Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher and reapply every 2 hours, especially after swimming or sweating.

πŸ•ΆοΈ Wear sunglasses that block UV rays to protect your eyes.

πŸ‘’ Choose lightweight, light-colored clothing and wear a wide-brimmed hat when possible.

🌳 Take breaks in the shade, especially during the hottest part of the day.

πŸ’§ Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and help your body regulate its temperature.

⏰ The sun’s rays are strongest between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., so use extra caution during those hours.

Sunburns can happen quickly and increase your risk of skin damage, skin cancer, and heat-related illnesses. Taking a few simple precautions can help keep you safe while enjoying everything summer has to offer.

Stay safe, stay cool, and enjoy the sunshine responsibly! β˜€οΈπŸš‘

Another day, another performance from Captain Bob. #πŸ•Ί

Whether he’s leading the crew, checking off the to-do list, or breaking out his signature dance moves, Captain Bob always knows how to keep things entertaining around the station.

We’re still not sure if he’s practicing for a call or auditioning for a dance competition… but either way, we’re here for it. πŸ˜„

πŸš‘ Congratulations to the Newest GFAC Paramedic Class! πŸš‘

Whitemarsh Community Ambulance Association is proud to congratulate the newest graduating class of paramedics from GFAC, especially our own providers: Madison Eppers, Paige Kay-Conway, and Nicole Atkinson.

This achievement represents countless hours of hard work, dedication, and commitment to serving our community. We are incredibly proud of each of them and excited to watch them continue to grow and thrive in their careers with WCAA.

Please join us in congratulating Madison, Paige, and Nicole on this outstanding accomplishment. Your WCAA family is proud of you!

We are so proud of the future medics from our 2025–2026 medic class! Last week, they successfully completed the didactic portion of the program and are now moving on to their Capstone field time.
Congratulations on completing nine months of classroom, clinical, field, and lab training, we know it wasn’t easy! We look forward to celebrating your achievements at graduation this August.
Capstone field time is a crucial part of the program, allowing paramedic students to work under the guidance of a preceptor on 911 ambulances and medic units. Once completed, students will take their final exam followed by the NREMT certification exam. πŸ“πŸš‘
