On May 23, 1986, Articles of Incorporation were filed in the State of Missouri forming the National Association of Forensic Economists. Effective January 3, 1992, the organization was broadened and the name was changed to the National Association of Forensic Economics. Today, 37 years later, NAFE is still actively Promoting the Advancement of Forensic Economics. Happy International Forensic Economists' Day to all who participate!

In support of this mission, NAFE publishes the peer reviewed Journal of Forensic Economics; sponsors academic and professional sessions at international, national, and regional meetings of economists; and maintains the NAFE Statement of Ethical Principles/Principles of Professional Practice (SEP/PPP).
