PICK 👏🏻 UP 👏🏻 YOUR 👏🏻 TRASH.👏🏻

You know you were raised better than to leave GARBAGE on the ground. But lately I've seen quite a bit of it up and down Lake Road. Disgusting and inexcusable. Now, the good people at Keep Lacombe Beautiful do a tremendous and thankless job to keep our community clean and looking neat. But the fight against trash begins with YOU.

If you're going out to Lake Road with food and drink or other products in containers and wrappers, bring a trash bag with you to bag it all up and throw it away when you get home. Or better still, you can use one of the many GARBAGE CANS that are PROVIDED FOR YOU along the road. You can simply deposit your waste there. Unless of course you're lazy and like making your grandmother cry. You don't want to make your grandmother cry now do you?

So please, do your part. Pick up after yourself. And if you're with someone who's a litter bug, call them out on it and make them pick up. This is not your personal dumping grounds. This is OUR HOME. Please respect it.

♻️ 🎨 Calling all artists and creatives!

Northshore Trashformation is calling local creatives of all ages and skill levels to transform items headed to the trash into works of art! From discarded bottles to scrap metal and plastic, one man's trash truly can be another man's masterpiece. This is a great way to get involved with environmental stewadship in our community and showcase the importance of recycling and sustainability.

Works submitted will be on display at the George Dunbar Gallery in the Slidell Cultural Center at City Hall, with a grand opening and award presentation taking place on Friday, September 18!

Lacombe resident Mr Farris contacted us to report a mattress that had been dumped on Rowley Drive. When the Parish couldn’t help, KLB volunteer Adam Jacks reached out to Monte Dumas and they took care of it. Thank you Mr Farris for being a caring citizen, Thank you Adam Jacks for always finding a way to get things done, and thank you to Monte Dumas for being so quick to respond and help!!
