We had a beautiful day with bright blue skies cleaning our Bayou Lacombe waterways. A big thanks to all our volunteers who helped today and to Becky Larkins with Southeastern US Fish and Wildlife who has always been an amazing partner and Friends of Louisiana Wildlife Refuges, Inc. who is always there to support us too helping Clean our Waterways.

I get it. You don’t want the trash in your car. But we don’t want it on our streets! Trash goes in the trash can. Do better!

DO YOUR PART! Thank you!!!!

PICK 👏🏻 UP 👏🏻 YOUR 👏🏻 TRASH.👏🏻

You know you were raised better than to leave GARBAGE on the ground. But lately I've seen quite a bit of it up and down Lake Road. Disgusting and inexcusable. Now, the good people at Keep Lacombe Beautiful do a tremendous and thankless job to keep our community clean and looking neat. But the fight against trash begins with YOU.

If you're going out to Lake Road with food and drink or other products in containers and wrappers, bring a trash bag with you to bag it all up and throw it away when you get home. Or better still, you can use one of the many GARBAGE CANS that are PROVIDED FOR YOU along the road. You can simply deposit your waste there. Unless of course you're lazy and like making your grandmother cry. You don't want to make your grandmother cry now do you?

So please, do your part. Pick up after yourself. And if you're with someone who's a litter bug, call them out on it and make them pick up. This is not your personal dumping grounds. This is OUR HOME. Please respect it.
