Old Mandeville Historic Association OMHA is a nonprofit, 501c3 corporation founded to preserve and promote the history and cultural heritage of Old Mandeville.

The Old Mandeville Historic Association (OMHA) is a nonprofit, 501c3 corporation founded to preserve and promote the history and cultural heritage of Old Mandeville for future generations. Pure and simple, we love our hometown of Mandeville and believe it is worth preserving! This desire to preserve has become even more apparent since the storms of 2005. We work to preserve history in our museum,

the Lang House (605 Carroll Street). We show off our community at our annual Mothers' Day home tour and other events. And we work to promote appreciation of our cultural and architectural heritage through the identification of historical structures via our site plaques.

OMHA’s 2026 Spring painting workshop:
A group of seven had a wonderful afternoon painting their pets and other things, facilitated by local artist Richard Adamiak. It was a perfect day on the back porch of the Lang House.

Big thanks to all who took advantage of a surprisingly sunny afternoon after days of rain and came out for the Mother’s Day Home Tour yesterday; to the homeowners who graciously opened their homes; the artists who shared their creativity; and to the docents, volunteers, and tour committee members who made it happen. You all made our Home Tour a great success!

Tour proceeds are a critical source of support for the c1850 Jean Baptiste Lang House at 605 Carroll Street, which operates as a historic house museum offering tours, an event space, a library of research materials, and a gift shop. Additionally, tour proceeds allow OMHA to further our efforts to preserve and promote the history and cultural heritage of Old Mandeville through our publications, including the Jean Baptiste Lang House brochure, Old Mandeville Historic Site Plaque Locations (volumes 1 and 2), and the Old Mandeville Street Strolls walking tour guides (four so far, more to come); a summertime children's history camp; lectures on topics of interest; and periodic field trips to explore the rich cultural heritage of Louisiana and the Gulf South.
