Flip a switch. The lights come on.

Simple, right?

Behind that switch are skilled electricians who trained, learned the trade, and put in the work to make sure the job was done safely and correctly.

Homes. Schools. Hospitals. Businesses. Factories.

Electricians help keep all of it moving.

That’s skilled labor. That’s pride in your craft. That’s IBEW 873.

Kids ask a lot of good questions.

How does that work?

Where does electricity come from?

Can I build that?

Keep them asking.

The electricians of tomorrow are the kids taking things apart, building things back up, and wondering how the world works.

Show them that the trades are more than a job. They’re a chance to learn a skill, build a career, and help power the communities around them.

You might be looking at a future electrician.

Some people were never meant to sit behind a desk all day.

They were meant to build. Solve problems. Work with their hands. Look back at the end of the day and see what they accomplished.

That’s the kind of work our members do every day.

IBEW 873 is built on skilled hands, hard work, and people who take pride in doing the job right.

Built here. Worked on by people who live here.

IBEW 873 members help power the schools, businesses, factories, and projects our communities depend on every day.

It’s skilled work done by local men and women who take pride in their craft and in the place they call home.

That’s what local union labor looks like.
