This week, our newest resident arrived at Garland Oaks and began a new chapter. As our team welcomes her into the Garland Oaks family, we invite our community to echo that same welcome.

We have created a registry to help meet some of her immediate needs as she settles into her new home. Every gift is a meaningful reminder that she is not alone on this journey.

Will you join us in welcoming Kya to Garland Oaks? Shop her registry here:

Please continue to pray for Kya and all of our residents.

We love investing in the women who make this work possible!

Providing trauma-informed care begins with a well-equipped and supported team. At Garland Oaks, we invest in every staff member through quality training and professional development designed for their unique role. As they grow in knowledge and confidence, they are better prepared to walk alongside child survivors on their journey toward hope and healing.

We’re grateful for every opportunity to gather with those who care deeply and support our mission to protect children and bring hope to survivors. These moments of connection remind us that this work is only possible because of a community that believes every child deserves safety and freedom.

Our newest resident—a child survivor of trafficking—has just walked through the door of our safe home, Garland Oaks, for the very first time. Her room is named Kya, a beautiful Hebrew word meaning "life."

As Kya begins to settle in her new home, surrounded by safety, peace, and our caring team, we praise God for this important milestone: The start of her healing journey.

Because we are Christ-centered and committed to walking alongside Kya—and every resident—for as long as they need our program, we do not accept government funding. Instead, we rely on the generosity of supporters like you.

Your support now provides Kya with counseling, education, and 24/7 care, helping her reclaim her childhood and discover a future filled with hope.

We are so grateful for the faithfulness of those who give regularly to make restoration possible at Street Hope and to protect children through our prevention education programs. The consistent prayers, financial support and volunteers in our communities are creating a safer, more hopeful place for the children we love and serve.

Thank you! Together we envision a world where every child lives free from exploitation and trafficking, and where survivors experience healing and hope.

We're excited to share that our Executive Director, April Timko, has been selected as one of thirteen nonprofit leaders to participate in this year’s Chick-fil-A Impact Accelerator Cohort!

April and Street Hope were chosen from hundreds of applicants for this incredible 12-month program, created in partnership with Plywood People, to help nonprofit leaders to expand impact through mentorship and meaningful connections.

As part of this honor, Street Hope will also receive grant funding to further our mission. Please join us in celebrating this exciting achievement, and please pray for April as she begins this journey with new friends from across the United States!
