🏈 Five high schools. Five awesome alumni. One unforgettable first year! 🎉

That's a wrap on our inaugural Kickin' It with KEF homecoming challenge, and what a FUN ride it was!

From big kicks and close calls to plenty of laughs, school spirit, and unforgettable moments on the field, our Klein ISD alumni brought the energy all season long!

These five alumni stepped up, represented their schools, and helped us launch what we hope will become a fun new Klein ISD homecoming tradition! And a special shoutout to Marlon, who split the uprights and took home the $500 prize! 💰🙌

A HUGE thank you to our incredible sponsors who made it all possible: Pogue Construction, Campus Kids, Lone Star College–University Park, Absolute All Sports, and Chan Dermatology! Thanks to their generosity, our alumni had a chance to win $500 at each homecoming game, and when the kicks didn't make it through the uprights, those funds went right back to supporting Klein ISD students and educators through the Foundation! 💙

And we can't forget our amazing KEF Board of Directors who volunteered their time, cheered on our kickers, and helped bring this first year to life!

🏈🖤💛 Friday Night Lights, Panther Pride, and one SWEET ride! 🚗💨

Our KEF Golf Cart Raffle was at Klein Memorial Stadium last night, and the Klein Oak Panthers showed it some love! From the Klein Oak cheerleaders and mascot to Principal Thomas Hensley and KEF Directors Rhonda Stowe and Marlisa Briggs, we had some great company showing off this awesome ride!

🏈 MEET THE KICKER: KLEIN HIGH! 💙💛

From Klein High School graduate to Klein ISD teacher...and now Klein High kicker!

Meet Mabel Barrera, Klein High Class of 2014, and our final Kickin’ It with KEF kicker of the season!

Today, Mabel is a 4th grade teacher at Bernshausen Elementary, where she happens to work alongside our Klein Forest kicker, Kim Richards. After taking her own shot earlier this season, Kim encouraged Mabel to grab a raffle ticket and give it a try.

Good thing she listened. 😎

Thursday night, Mabel is heading back to Klein Memorial Stadium to represent her alma mater with two chances from the 15-yard line to win $500!

From the Class of 2014 to the field at Klein Memorial Stadium, we can’t wait to see Mabel take her shot!

Let’s hear it for Mabel! 🏈💙💛

🐾 GRANT IN ACTION: Four years later...

When KEF awarded a grant to bring Zeus to Klein Collins High School in December 2022, the goal was to provide comfort and support for students in times of need.

Four years later, Zeus has become part of the fabric of Klein Collins. ❤️ He supports students in difficult moments, greets them in the hallways and has even inspired the student-led Zeus & Friends Club to help support his continued care.

Last week, Klein ISD Trustee and KEF Board Member Nicole Peters spotted Zeus during Board Tours and sent us this picture. We couldn’t resist sharing!

We love seeing how a grant awarded years ago can continue to grow, evolve and make a difference for students every single day.

That’s a Grant in Action. 🐾
