Our mission is to offer a forum for individuals interested in gardening to share information and pursue experiences that will enhance horticultural knowledge and skills. OUR HISTORY
Established on February 12, 1950 as the Kirkwood Men's Garden Club, the organization was originally an affiliated chapter of the Men's Garden Clubs of America. In February of 2000 the local club name was changed to Ki
rkwood Garden Club to reflect the gender inclusive nature of the organization. The Club has designed, planted, and maintained the flower display adjacent to the Kirkwood Train Station since 1978. We have planted and maintained the flowerbed on Kirkwood Road across from the Station since 1981. OUR PURPOSE
To stimulate interest and educate our members and the community in the disciplines of gardening, horticulture, conservation, and the natural environment. To provide resources for community landscape improvements in the Kirkwood area by designing, planting, and maintaining public gardens. To promote effective stewardship of our community's natural and cultivated landscapes resulting in the preservation of trees, green space, and beneficial wildlife. OUR ACTIVITIES
