Kirkwood Social Justice Coalition Our Vision
There are a number of outstanding organizations taking action to combat social injustice in our community. We would love for you to join us!

About us: We represent organizations that promote social justice, emphasizing anti-racism in our community to create awareness, promote education, and network to build relationships. By coordinating efforts and resources we can make a stronger impact. Our Mission
We will provide a clearing house for social justice issues , resources and activities by:
* Providing links to companion organizations

* Sharing best practices
* Promoting community social justice events
* Acting as a sounding board for organizations
* Matching organizations to work in tandem to maximize their efforts in the community

How we can help you
If you or your organization has a passion for social justice we’d like you to join our coalition so that we can link you to others in the community and promote your activities. Our participating organizations include: St. Peter Catholic Church, Kirkwood Baptist Church, Kirkwood United Methodist Church, Kirkwood United Church of Christ, Moms of Meacham Park.

Eliot Chapel’s Immigration Justice group has provided materials regarding the campaign for asylum seeker work permits.

Please note that these require immediate action, as all remarks must be submitted by April 24th. They encourage you to submit comments in support of allowing asylum seekers to apply for and receive work permits. Be sensitive in your remarks so as to protect the identities of asylum seekers.
