DID YOU KNOW? Kinston Teens hosts a monthly Neighborhood Planning Meeting at the East Kinston Neighborhood Hub! This month’s meeting will take place TONIGHT at 6PM. We discuss updates on projects and programs serving the East Kinston community, share news about Kinston Teens initiatives, and work together to dream and strategize about how to make the most of the opportunities in our neighborhood.

This is a free, hot meal for you to enjoy while building new connections with neighbors and friends. Come out and join us from 3PM-5PM at 818 Tower Hill Road, and bring someone with you!

These meetings are a space for neighbors, young people, and community partners to come together, share ideas, and help shape what’s next for East Kinston.

We’ll also be accepting donations for our Community Pantry and Sunday Dinner efforts: Canned goods, paper products, bottled water, juices, and snacks are all appreciated.

We’re starting a garden! Our staff and a few East Kinston Neighborhood Hub volunteers started the work yesterday to build raised beds over at the Hub. This garden will be another tool we use to promote equitable community development, food security, education and climate resilience. Stay tuned for how you can get involved!

We’re grateful for the opportunity to share our work at the NC Rural Summit last week!

We had a powerful conversation about what it means to rebuild from the ground up—and how community-owned infrastructure, youth leadership, and partnerships can shape more resilient futures for rural communities.

founder was in conversation with Professor Kofi Boone (Just Communities Lab at NC State), Corey Dodd (Design Workshop), and Jodi Lasseter (NC Climate Justice Collective)—all partners in translating community input into our youth-driven strategy for equitable development in East Kinston.
