We had spectacular Earth Day at SHG today. Many thanks to all of the volunteers who helped install 4 raised beds, replace the trellises in 4 other beds, weeded, loaded wheelbarrow with soil etc. The weather cooperated and all that we set out to do was accomplished. We had many of our regular SHG volunteers, Killingworth Women’s Organization and the Juniorettes from KWO, new folks who wanted to help. So many helping hands for our food pantry garden!
Thanks also to the local businesses who donate seedlings, and soil and the. CFMC for the grant that helped make this happen.
