Lighthouse Christian Academy, a lighthouse to the working families of Key West & Lower Florida Keys meeting the need for childcare and education for 26 yrs Now offering Daily Drop Off Child Care for Locals and Visitors of the Keys. LCA is a year round school (Full 12 months) open Monday - Friday 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM caring and teaching children from 2 yrs to Pre-K 5 years old. Everyday LCA is where

we Play to Learn and Learn to Play with a full curriculum based On Creative Curriculum and enhanced with Ocean Discovery, Health & Fitness, Bible-CWC Building Character on the Foundation of God's Word, and American Sign Language with the goal to prepare each child for success in Kindergarten with foundations to carry them as they grow to be productive adults in our community. We are participants of the Early Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade/Monroe which provides financial assistance to families who qualify. We are so honored to be an active provider for our Key West Community meeting the needs of early education for the working Families of Key West and the Lower Keys.

LCA Ocean Discovery - June 1st Coral Reef Day
Florida is the only state in the continental U.S. to have extensive, shallow coral reef formation near its coast. The reef extends over 350 miles from the Dry Tortugas in the Gulf of Mexico to the St. Lucie Inlet in Martin County. Formations in Florida’s Coral Reef are very similar to those found in the Bahamas and Caribbean Sea.

World Bee Day is a great time to remember that bees do much more than make honey.

They help flowers, fruits, and vegetables grow by moving pollen from plant to plant. Bees also help keep many kinds of plants and animals alive, which is good for our planet.

You can help bees by planting flowers, not using harmful bug sprays, and making your yard a safe place for bees to visit.
