πŸ‘’ National Night Out – August 21
We're excited to participate in this year's "Boots in the Park" celebration! Kerman Rotary has donated $500 to help support the event and has already purchased 200 Capri Suns and 200 Gushers to hand out to families. We're also donating a raffle prize and are looking for volunteers to help make the evening a success!

πŸ”₯ Fire Extinguisher Training – August 14
Join us at the Community Center for a valuable fire safety presentation followed by hands-on extinguisher training. (Please note: lunch will not be served, but bottled water will be available.)

πŸŽ‰ Board Installation – August 7
Next week's meeting will be a special one as we install our new Board of Directors! We'll also be welcoming our Rotary District Governor and Assistant Governor. Members are encouraged to attend and bring a friend or family member.

🎑 Harvest Festival – September 17–20
Preparations are underway! Volunteers are needed for setup, teardown, and tri-tip preparation. We'd love to have you join us in making another successful Harvest Festival possible.

Work continues behind the scenes as we pursue new partnerships and fundraising opportunities to help move this important community project forward.

πŸ“… Rotary Club of Kerman Weekly Meeting Recap | July 24, 2026

This week's meeting was filled with exciting community updates and a special milestone for our club!

We welcomed guests from the North Central Fire Protection District and the Kerman Police Department, who shared information about several upcoming community events.

πŸš” National Night Out is happening Friday, August 21, from 5:00–9:00 p.m. at Kerckhoff Park! This free event is open to everyone, and Rotary will be there handing out Capri Sun and Gushers to families. We look forward to seeing our community come together for an evening of fun and fellowship.

🩸 The Kerman Police Department also announced the "Battle of the Badges" Blood Drive. Community members can donate at the blood drive on July 31 or at any participating blood bank by crediting their donation to Kerman PD. Donors will receive a free pint of ice cream as a thank-you!

πŸ”₯ We also heard updates from the North Central Fire Protection District, including fire extinguisher training coming to our Rotary meeting and extinguisher inspections at a future meeting on August 14 to help us prepare for Harvest Festival.

🎑 Planning continues for the Kerman Harvest Festival, with setup beginning September 16 and teardown on September 21. Members are encouraged to volunteer and help make another successful community event.

🍽️ Members enjoyed a Philly cheesesteak sandwich taste test as the club continues planning this year's Harvest Festival menu.

πŸ‘ Congratulations to President Maureen Meza for securing approval with JD Foods, providing the club with another purchasing option for future events.

πŸŽ‰ Finally, we were honored to receive recognition from Rotary International celebrating the 68th anniversary of the Rotary Club of Kerman, which has proudly served our community since July 24, 1957.

Rotary Club of Kerman Weekly Meeting Recap – July 17, 2026

Another great Friday of fellowship, service, and planning for the months ahead!

A big thank you to Baking Mamas for preparing a delicious lunch of chicken fettuccine, salad, and garlic bread. President Maureen Meza called the meeting to order following a blessing by Jeff and the Pledge of Allegiance.

We welcomed guests from the Fire Department, Miguel and Kathryn, who joined us as Kathryn begins her role conducting fire inspections. We also welcomed Jeff's son, Joseph.

Our presentation by Officer Cubillos has been rescheduled for Friday, July 24. Looking ahead, the North Central Fire Department will provide hands-on fire extinguisher training during our August 14 meeting. We encourage all members to attend as we prepare for a safe and successful Harvest Festival.

Plans are moving forward for several upcoming events:

🍦 Ice Cream Social – September 9 from 6:00–8:30 PM at Fruta Fresca.

Our Golden Sunset Memorial Cemetery Revitalization Project continues to make progress. We're grateful to everyone helping secure donations and discounts for the new water system, irrigation supplies, cameras, and other improvements. As major donors are confirmed, recognition banners will be displayed at the cemetery. Have a fundraising idea? We'd love to hear it!

Don't forget to join us on Friday, July 24, when Marilyn will be serving Philly cheesesteak sandwiches for a special Harvest Festival taste test, and we'll welcome Officer Cubillos for her rescheduled presentation.

Rotary Club of Kerman Weekly Meeting Recap – July 10, 2026

Our meeting was called to order by President Maureen, followed by an opening prayer from Jeff and the Pledge of Allegiance.

We were pleased to welcome our guests, Carey Tate and Patty, and appreciate them joining us.

A special thank you was extended to everyone who helped make the July 3rd celebration a success. Your time and dedication made a difference in our community!

Carey Tate shared the inspiring story of her involvement with the Legacy Foundation and expressed how grateful she is for Rotary's partnership in supporting fundraising efforts for the cemetery restoration project. We're excited to continue working together to preserve this important part of our community. Jeff is also reaching out to Mid Valley for potential service discounts, while Charles continues discussions with HP and local irrigation companies.

Looking ahead:

- National Night Out is August 21, with Jeff serving as chair. Rotary will be handing out cold Capri Sun drinks to help keep everyone refreshed.
- Daniel is exploring ways Rotary can assist with improvements at Rotary Park.
- Daniel and Charles are also working to identify a location where young men in our community can enjoy basketball in the evenings from 6:00–8:00 p.m.
- Harvest Festival is set for September 17–20, with setup on September 16 and teardown on September 21. The Board is also discussing the possibility of adding a co****le tournament to this year's festivities.

Thank you to everyone who attended another productive meeting as we continue finding new ways to serve Kerman and strengthen our community.

The Rotary Club of Kerman is partnering with community supporters to help restore and beautify our local cemetery through a meaningful cleanup and revitalization effort.

This project is made possible through community support, volunteer service, and generous donations. Every contribution big or small, helps us improve and preserve this important space for families today and generations to come.

Weeks back, members of the Rotary Club of Kerman recently had the privilege of preparing and delivering lasagna to both the boys' and girls' camps at Camp Royal. It was a wonderful opportunity to serve and encourage the youth while supporting this outstanding leadership program.

According to longtime members, this marked the first time Kerman Rotary has participated in serving meals at Camp Royal, making the experience even more special. Thank you to everyone who volunteered and helped make the day a success!

🌟 Rotary Club of Kerman Meeting Highlights – June 12, 2026 🌟

President Maureen Meza called the meeting to order and members shared updates on several exciting projects and opportunities to serve our community.

🍽️ Camp Royal Service Project
Rotarians Maureen, Jeff, Marco, Bob, Marilyn, and Kyle volunteered to prepare and deliver lasagna to both the boys' and girls' camps at Camp Royal. Members shared that this was the first time Kerman Rotary has participated in serving campers, and it was a wonderful opportunity to support and encourage Kerman High School students attending camp.

🦺 Life Vest Giveaway
Jeff Rasbeary and Isaiah Campos will join Kerman North Central Firefighters for a free life vest giveaway at Skaggs on Saturday, June 20, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Come out and help represent the Rotary Club of Kerman!

πŸŽ‰ End-of-Year Celebration
Our annual potluck social will be held Friday, June 26, at the Scout Hut. Members will begin setting up at 5:00 PM, with festivities running from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Bring your favorite dish and enjoy an evening of fellowship, music provided by Rick Gonzalez, and good company.

🍽️ Lunch was prepared by Chef Cristian and featured tri-tip, chili beans, and salad.

In observance of Juneteenth, there will be no regular meetings on June 19 or June 26. Members will instead gather for the June 26 potluck social.
