Central California Kart Racing Association

Central California Kart Racing Association Our mission is to teach safe and respectable driving practices for young karters as well as provide competitive racing for all ages.

The Kerman Kart Club (KKC) is a non-profit mutual benefit corporation which began in 1961. The KKC hosted races up until 2005 in Kerman California at which time racing was brought to Fresno. In 2015, the Central California Kart Racing Association (CCKRA) was formed by the KKC to help promote karting throughout the central valley. The CCKRA will be hosting races in Fresno, Buttonwillow and Santa Maria in 2021-2022.

Last weekend at Buttonwillow was incredible.

Strong kart counts. Close battles. New faces on the grid and championship contenders continuing to separate from the pack.

Thank you to every driver, crew, and family who made Race #2 such a success — and to our sponsors who continue supporting grassroots racing across Central California.

The momentum keeps building, and the next round will be here before we know it.

If you’ve been thinking about getting on track — now is the time.

Race #2 is in the books.

Buttonwillow delivered exactly what we expected — tight racing, strong grids, and drivers leaving everything on the track.

Congratulations to everyone who climbed the podium this weekend. You earned it.
And to every driver, crew member, and family who showed up — thank you. This is what makes CCKRA what it is.

The points are tightening. The season is heating up.

On to Race #3.

Podium moments at Buttonwillow.

Two days of hard racing came down to who wanted it most — and our drivers delivered.

Congratulations to every racer who fought for position, ran clean, and pushed to the limit all weekend.

These are the weekends that build champions.

The standings are taking shape. Every round from here matters.

Hello all, we would like to announce the availability of Formula KFX. This is an arrive and drive series that is willing to follow a hand full of races within our schedule. If you know anyone who may be interested, I am posting the info below. Please let me know if you have any questions.

For CCKRA R3 on June 20-21, I could bring 14 karts (12 to race and 2 spare or for a last-minute sign-up). Any drivers wishing to race in the KFX class need t o sign up through the Formula KFX website and select the round or rounds they want to race in and also indicate on the form whether they would like to also practice on Saturday afternoon (from 1-4pm, in accordance with the practice schedule).

The webpage address is https://formulakfx.com/cckra and the registration form link is clear to see. Drivers can choose between Junior or Senior and each division has two classes (lightweight and heavyweight). I will place drivers in the correct class when they declare their racing weight on the registration form.

Each driver needs to choose their own racing number (between 2 and 99) and give me 5 choices. I will allocate the numbers on a first-come, first-served basis, and give the drivers the first available number on their list. They will be given a number plate for their kart, which they will keep for the season (4 races). I will also provide and allocate transponders for each driver, but those must be returned at the end of the event. Drivers who lose a transponder will be billed the replacement cost (so far, no one has lost one). I will also provide ballast for drivers needing to add to their karts to achieve the minimum racing weight for their respective classes.

ENTRY FEE: $395 (race day)

PRACTICE FEE: $120 (Saturday 1-4pm)

CLASS WEIGHTS:

JUNIOR Lightweight: 132 lbs

JUNIOR Heavyweight: 154 lbs (must be 139 ibs to be eligible)
