Blessing Of The Fleet Kemah The Blessing Of The Fleet Gumbo Cook off and Boat Parade weekend is scheduled for April 25 and 26, 2026. Entry fees for contestants are only $50.00.

A tribute to our Boating/Fishing and Sh*****ng culture for a safe and bountiful season. The Blessing of the Fleet and Shrimp Gumbo Cook Off commemorates our link to the sea. Our Blessing Parade is on Sunday April 26, 2026 @ 2pm at the Kemah Channel on the Boardwalk. The Boat fee is $35 this year.

“Texas Shrimp Gumbo Cook Off” and "Chicken Gumbo" will be held Saturday April 25th, (8:30AM – 4PM) at

the Kemah Elks Lodge. There is no charge for spectators to this family friendly event! Teams can enter as late as the day of the event, but advance registration is preferred. Trophies will be awarded to the First, Second and Third place winners. In addition, we will also be awarding a “People's Choice” trophy. You can get a wrist band for $10 and sample all the gumbo from 1PM to 3PM. We will have a vendor show, raffles and live auction at 3:30PM. On Friday, April 24th, we will have a Pub Crawl and poker run through Clear Lake Shores. See flyers for more information.

Thank you to La Vida for allowing all of our Clear Lake Elks Lodge scholarship winners and our state hoop shoot winner a fantastic experience today riding on La Vida during the Blessing of the Fleet parade. The kids and their families had such a wonderful experience. Something they will never forget as these young adults go off to experience college and continue to grow.
