Several members assisted the Kemah Police at the Cops and Kids event at Stewart LaVace Stewart Elementary.

At the May 5th meeting we were joined by Spencer who will be attending the 2026 Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville. Spencer attended the TLC in 2025 and shared his favorite things to do (fishing). Spencer won the camper of the week last year and hopes for a repeat for the 2026 session. Spencer was presented a shirt to wear at the camp by Lion Ricia. Thanks to Lion Sylvia for arranging the shirt. The TLC is an amazing place with no charge for the campers to attend. Past district Governor Lion Howard Clayton inducted Oneator into the Kemah Lions Club during the April 7th meeting. Oneator, Howard Clayton and Lion Bill Kerber who sponsored Oneator.

Kemah Lions had a great time at the City of Kemah Easter Eggstravaganza. Huge turnout with a lot of activities for the kids.

The drawing for the meat raffle took place at the Lions Club meeting on March 3, 2026. The winners are:

The Kemah Lions Club would like to thank the manager at Autozone in Seabrook for the generous donation for the Car Maintenance Workshop for Women. It is great having a store that supports the community.

Still time to purchase raffle tickets for the Lions Club meat raffle. Funds allow the lions to support the local community with projects such as the backpack program (5 families are provided food so the the students will have food over the weekend), provide groceries at Thanksgiving to 25 families, school supplies, assist the school nurse with clothing for students, pancakes with Santa and other community needs. The Kemah Lions gained 6 new members. Five of the new members were inducted into the Lions by past district governor Madiline Birdsong. We would like to welcome: Oneator, Glorinela, Sabina, Andrew, Kelly and Ceasar to the group. A big shout out to Lion Bill for 4 of the new members while Lion Sylvia added to her total with 2 of the new members. Oneator was unable to attend and will be inducted at a later date.
