Lots of upcoming events as we head into summer:

*Parks Board, 6 p.m. tomorrow, June 9, will discuss asking Council to review all parks before amending the Master Plan

*Our River Celebration 10 a.m.-1 p.m. June 13 at Minto Brown Park pavilion

*TrashyTuesday 5:30-6:30 p.m. June 16 at Keizer Rapids Park. Meet at boat ramp

*Public Works Day, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. June 17 at Keizer Rapids Park near amphitheater

*National Night Out Aug. 4. Register your event at Keizer Police Dept. website to be included in a drawing for a corn hole game and bucket of supplies.

KeizerQuest, a family friendly scavenger hunt, is planned in Keizer starting May 1.
Everyday a QR code will be hidden somewhere in Keizer. Clues will be sent to you via text after you register at www.keizerquest.com.
If you are the 1st to scan the code, you will receive a $100.00+ prize or experience. But all other participants who find and scan the QR code will be entered into a grand prize drawing on Saturday, May 16.
Prizes include a $100 gift card to Papa Murphys,
$100 gift card to Osaka Hibachi and Sushi, $100 gift card to Hops & Drops,
$100.00 gift card to Boucher Jewelry
$100 gift card to Bricks and Beyond
The grand prize is a $500 Dutch Bros gift card.

Earth Day activities in Keizer!
There's an Earth Day self-guided virtual hike at Keizer Rapids Park, beginning at the Raingarden next to the boat ramp parking lot during oark hours. A half-mile loop includes 15 checkpoints to learn about the history and natural features of the park. If you can't make it in person, go to City website, Public Works/Environmental & Technical Division news to find the story and virtual link.

If you want to pitch in to help with an Earth Day litter clean-up at Wallace House Park, join SOLV and other volunteers 9-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 25. Register at the SOLV website and meet up at the main Wallace House parking lot on Willamette Drive. Trash bags, pickers, gloves and vests will be provided. Wear closed-toe shoes, weather-appropriate clothing and bring water bottles. A water refill station will be provided.
