Working in direct service, whether at a CAC or in another role, requires compassion, patience, dedication, and resilience. When your work requires that level of effort, it can be easy to forget to take time for yourself.
But self-care isn’t a luxury—it’s necessary. And it doesn’t have to be time-consuming to make a difference.
Quick At-Work Tip: Set an alarm if you need to and take several short, 2–5 minute breaks throughout the day to stretch, breathe deeply, or walk away from your desk to reset your nervous system.
