This week in Friendships and Boundaries, youth created their own “friendship rooms” and filled them with the people, activities, and values that are important to them.
They discovered that healthy boundaries are like walls and doors. Boundaries protect what matters most, while doors allow us to choose who we invite into our lives and friendships. They talked about the importance of having space for good friends, fun, exercise, and even quiet time when we need to be alone.
They also learned that helping others doesn’t always mean solving their problems. Sometimes the best thing we can do is encourage, support, and help our friends find their own way.
The horses continue to remind us that healthy relationships are built on kindness, respect, communication, and boundaries. Protecting our space and welcoming others in are both important parts of friendship.
Little lessons with horses. Big lessons for life.
