Early detection saves lives!!! Awareness has no gender

Men can get breast cancer, accounting for 1% of all diagnoses.
Recognizing the signs early can save a life

Signs and Symptoms
• A painless lump or swelling in the chest or breast tissue
• Skin dimpling, puckering, redness, or scaling
• Ni**le inversion (pulling in) or pain
• Ni**le discharge

Risk Factors
• Older age: Most often diagnosed in men in their 60s and 70s
• Family history: Inherited gene mutations like BRCA1 or
Bracha2
• Hormone Imbalance: Conditions like Klinefelter syndrome or
liver disease
• Other factors: Obesity and prior chest radiation

Are you a survivor, and are you looking to get your strength back? We have a resource for you.

The Livestrong program at the Kearney Family YMCA - Kearney is a free 12-week small group fitness initiative for adult cancer survivors. Designed to help participants regain their strength, balance, and quality of life, the program features two 90-minute sessions per week and includes a complimentary YMCA membership for the duration of the program.

The program focuses on whole-person recovery, addressing cardiovascular conditioning, strength training, and emotional support alongside other survivors.

Registration: requires program intake and a physician referral form before admission.
