Every child deserves more than just survival. They deserve a chance to thrive.

No child should have to worry about where their next meal will come from, whether they will have a warm place to sleep, or if their basic needs will be met.

Poverty does not define a child's worth, potential, or future. And poverty alone is NOT neglect.

At Kearney/Buffalo County CASA, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, supported, valued, and heard—regardless of their family's financial circumstances.

Today, let's remember that behind every statistic is a child with dreams, hopes, and a future worth fighting for.

Wear Purple. Speak Up. Stand Together.

Purple represents courage, survival, and hope for those impacted by domestic violence.

Behind every survivor is a story of strength. Behind every statistic is a person who deserves to feel safe, valued, and loved.

Domestic violence doesn't always leave visible bruises. Sometimes the deepest wounds are the ones we cannot see.

💜 We wear purple for those who have survived.
💜 We wear purple for those still finding their way out.
💜 We wear purple for the lives tragically lost.
💜 We wear purple because silence should never be the answer.

Everyone deserves a life free from fear and abuse.

A little throwback to the beaded safety pins we all loved in the '80s and '90s, but this time with a purpose.

National Do Something Nice Day

The observance promotes intentional kindness, reminding us to slow down, notice those who may need support, and take a moment to make a difference. 💙

As a CASA, your kindness can mean so much to a child. Be the person who shows up, listens, encourages, and reminds a child that they are seen, heard, and never alone.

There are children that need your kindness, volunteer to be a CASA volunteer.

Domestic violence is more than a statistic. It is a mother. A father. A child. A friend. A neighbor. A survivor.

In the United States, more than 1 in 3 women and more than 1 in 6 men have experienced intimate partner violence.

Between 2020 and 2024, more than 11,000 people lost their lives in domestic-violence-related homicides. In just one day in 2025, more than 84,000 survivors reached out for help.

Behind every number is a person whose life has been impacted by fear, control, and abuse.

We must listen. We must believe. We must support. We must speak up.

💜 Abuse is never the victim’s fault.
💜 Help is available.
💜 You are not alone.

As a community, we can help create a future where every child grows up knowing that love should feel safe, and every survivor knows they deserve safety, dignity, and support.
