🚜🎶 She thinks my tractor's sexy... 🎶🚜

Dandi was supposed to go back inside.

After spending some time running and playing in her temporary foster's pasture, Dandi was asked to head back inside.

Dandi's response?

❌ Go to crate.
✅ Climb onto tractor.

Apparently our girl had somewhere to be.

She marched right up, hopped into the driver's seat, and looked at her foster like:

"Well? Are we checking fences, moving hay, or just cruising the property today?"

Considering Dandi came to us from the La Grange area, we're starting to think she may have some farm-girl roots. She looked WAY too comfortable behind the wheel of that tractor. 😂

So if you've got a little land, a ranch, a farm, acreage, or even just a riding mower that you take way too seriously, Dandi may be the perfect sidekick.

🩵 HOARDING CASE UPDATE: THE PUPPY IS SAFE 🩵

We have some wonderful news to share.

The puppy has been trapped and is finally safe.

This little guy did not make it easy on the rescue team. In fact, he was trapped once and managed to break out of the first trap! After regrouping and bringing in a larger trap, the entire neighborhood came together to help keep an eye on him.

Just 15 minutes later, neighbors were shouting the words everyone had been waiting to hear:

"The puppy is caught!"

This tiny survivor is now safe indoors and decompressing in a crate next to Lucky Leroy, the senior dog rescued from the same property. We don't know for certain, but we believe there is a good chance Lucky Leroy may be his father.

The puppy arrived covered in fleas and flea dirt. He has already received two Dawn baths and flea and tick prevention. He will be visiting the veterinarian soon for a full exam, vaccinations, and any additional medical care he needs.

Right now, he is scared, exhausted, and learning that people can be kind.

For those following this heartbreaking case, we wanted you to know that your prayers, shares, encouragement, and donations are already making a difference.

Without your support, we would not be able to step in and help dogs like Betty Boop, Radio Flyer, Lucky Leroy, and this little puppy.

Tonight, we are celebrating a victory.

One more dog is safe.

🦷🐾 RESCUE APPROVED VET DENTAL CARE IN CYPRESS 🐾🦷

We know how stressful and expensive veterinary dental care can be — especially when you’re quoted thousands of dollars with little explanation upfront. That’s why we wanted to share a local clinic that one of our rescue team members personally had a great experience with:

Owned and operated by Dr. Bolotov, this women-owned clinic focuses on being transparent, fair, and upfront about pricing. They provide a low-to-high estimate range before procedures so pet owners know what to expect financially.

One of our rescue team members recently took her personal dogs there and had an excellent experience. Her dog needed:

✔️ Bloodwork
✔️ Dental cleaning
✔️ 11 extractions
✔️ Pain medication to go home

And the total bill came to $1,557 — which is significantly more affordable than many dental quotes we’ve seen elsewhere for similar care.

Their initial consultation is $50, and that amount goes toward your final bill if treatment is scheduled.

They also offer services including:

• Extractions
• Dental radiographs
• Mass removals
• Cherry eye repair
• Entropion repair
• Emergency surgery

If your pet has bad breath, difficulty eating, inflamed gums, or visible tartar buildup, dental disease may already be causing pain. Dental health is SO important for overall health and quality of life. 🩵

🚨 MEDICAL FOSTERS & EMERGENCY DONATIONS NEEDED 🚨
⚠️ Sensitive content warning: neglect/hoarding situation

Brace yourself for this one, because these dogs have been failed in every possible way.

A local animal advocate reached out after learning about dogs living in heartbreaking conditions inside a home where the owner had become incapacitated and unable to care for them. By the time help arrived, the situation had spiraled into severe neglect. One dog had already been turned loose outside because there was no food left for him. Another was still trapped inside the home in a filthy kennel covered in waste, fur, fleas, and neglect. A hidden puppy was later discovered as well.

These dogs were not living. They were surviving.

Now they need us.

The dogs are severely underweight, heartworm positive, covered in fleas, emotionally shut down, and desperately in need of safety, medical care, proper nutrition, decompression, and love. Some appear to have gone without consistent care for a very long time.

And here’s the hard truth:

BBR cannot commit to helping these dogs unless TWO things happen first:

1️⃣ We secure MEDICAL FOSTERS
2️⃣ We raise funds for their veterinary and recovery care

Right now our rescue is already carrying several major medical cases including Onyx, Bruno, and another large emergency dog currently receiving extensive care. We want to help these dogs so badly, but we cannot responsibly say yes without support behind them.

💔 What we need immediately:
• Medical fosters willing to take ONE dog
• Donations toward exams, heartworm treatment, food, medications, flea treatment, bloodwork, and recovery care
• People willing to share this post so these dogs are seen

Medical fostering means you provide the safe place and love — the rescue helps guide the medical process.

Tonight at 5 PM, we will be sharing one of the hardest posts we’ve ever made.

As many of you know, BBR usually tries to focus on hope, healing, happy endings, and the joy that rescue brings. We believe in showing the light whenever we can.

But sometimes rescue also means facing heartbreaking realities that cannot be ignored.

Today, we were made aware of a severe neglect/hoarding situation involving dogs that have suffered for far too long without proper care, medical treatment, safety, or love. The images and details are difficult, and we know this kind of content can be emotional and upsetting.

Before we share their story, we wanted to give our supporters a gentle heads up rather than blindside anyone scrolling tonight.

We are sharing it because these dogs urgently need help.

They need medical fosters.
They need donations for emergency care.
And most of all, they need people willing to care enough to help change what happens next.

We ask that when the post goes live, you read with compassion, share with kindness, and remember that the dogs are the victims here.

🖤 ONYX STEEL: PARVO SURVIVOR 🖤

Just look at this boy now. 🥹

Not long ago, Onyx Steel was a terrified, sick puppy found abandoned at an auto shop in Magnolia, Texas. Weak, dehydrated, severely underweight, and fighting parvo… we truly did not know if he was going to survive.

Today?
✨ He is a HAPPY, thriving PARVO SURVIVOR. ✨

His foster says he is now:
🩵 Completely asymptomatic
🩵 Eating and drinking normally
🩵 Playing with toys
🩵 Wagging his tail nonstop
🩵 Learning commands like “sit” and “back up”
🩵 Talking to everyone 😂

And after finally being fed consistently the way a growing puppy should be…

🐾 Onyx Steel now weighs 22.6 pounds! 🐾

His foster shared how amazing it’s been watching his body transform with proper nutrition, love, hydration, medical care, and stability. He’s growing fast, getting stronger every day, and finally getting the chance to just be a puppy.

Parvo is devastating and recovery is not easy. It takes medications, fluids, quarantine, around-the-clock care, cleaning, monitoring, and a foster willing to fight for them every single hour.

Sutter is the kind of puppy that makes fostering feel effortless. He’s calm, easygoing, and somehow already acts like an old soul trapped in a puppy body. While most puppies are chaos and zoomies 24/7, Sutter is more “hang out beside you and enjoy life together.” ☀️
