Why Study Revelation?
Why did God give us the Book of Revelation if He did not want His people to understand its message?
Revelation is not merely a book about the end of the world—it is the revelation of Jesus Christ. It reveals His divinity, His authority, His victory, the judgment of evil, and the ultimate destiny of those who remain faithful to Him.
But to understand Revelation, we must go back to the beginning. Genesis, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Zechariah, and the words of Jesus in Matthew 24 provide the foundation for many of the symbols and prophecies we encounter in Revelation.
Genesis gives us the beginning. Revelation shows us the end.
Daniel reveals the kingdoms. Revelation reveals their final judgment.
The prophets spoke of the coming King. Revelation reveals the King in His glory.
We cannot afford to ignore the book Jesus Himself said would bring blessing to those who read, hear, and keep its words (Revelation 1:3).
The question is not simply, "What does the future hold?"
The deeper question is:
When the powers of this world rise, when deception increases, and when faith is tested—will we recognize the Lamb, remain faithful to Him, and refuse to compromise?
Let us study Revelation—not with fear, speculation, or sensationalism, but with open hearts, Scripture in hand, and a desire to know Jesus Christ more deeply.
"Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein." — Revelation 1:3
