Our members were honored to be in attendance with DeNooyer Chevrolet, the Military Warriors Support Foundation, and Congressman Huizenga while they gifted a new vehicle to a local wounded veteran.

Around 11:30pm last night, OFD responded to a reported structure fire with smoke coming through the front door. Engine 512 was first due with a working fire and smoking pushing out the front door. C-shift made a good push and contained the fire to the kitchen with smoke throughout the home.
541 arrived on scene and established water supply while mutual aid units assisted with search and overhaul.

While at this incident, OFD was also dispatched for a reported vehicle fire on US 131. Kalamazoo Township Station 4 provided assistance for this call with a fully involved vehicle fire.

Last week, 4 members attended FDIC in Indianapolis. Hands on classes were attended such as RIT, VES, search, Elevator emergencies, through the lock, and some technical rescue scenarios such as scaffolding collapses and vehicles into buildings as well as various classroom sessions throughout the week. Everyone had a great time and learned lots to bring back to Oshtemo!

Our department is proud to announce that three members completed the ISFSI 1403 live fire instructor course in Kalamazoo. This course equips our members with the skills necessary to safely conduct live fire training sessions using our training structure.

GOLF OUTING 2026:

We are excited to announce that the registration for our 5th annual golf outing is live! Registration is capped at 30 teams so be sure to get your team registered early.
Once again, a portion of the proceeds will be going to the Great Lakes Burn Camp for Kids.

Our 5th Golf Outing is dedicated to FF/DO Charlie Sullivan. Charlie was a great member of our fire department who lost his life back in November while off shift and will forever be remembered!
