We are proud to partner with the Texas 4-H Homes for Horses program every year and we are so excited for the new season ahead! 🍀🐴✨

This past weekend, we hosted the annual Meet & Greet event where nine youth participants were paired with nine horses in need 🥰

It was a wonderful day filled with special moments shared between participants and their new equine partners, along with educational seminars to help prepare the participants as they begin their journeys!

We look forward to seeing all of the progress of these amazing duos at the state show next July!

As we move forward into a beautiful new season at the ranch, we would like to give a special Thank You to our ranch staff, volunteer team, vets and farrier for all of the wonderful care you have provided to the animals during the extreme heat the past couple of months! 🫶

We look forward to cooler temperatures ahead and lots of cozy horse hugs ❤️🐴❤️

𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠✨🐴✨

It has been a magical summer of connection for the humans and horses in the ranch wellness program!

Once a week, our wellness participants spend 45 minutes 𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝, 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡.
All the while, rehabilitating the horses to help them on their journeys to find their forever homes 🥰

Training plays a key role in every horse’s recovery. Before a horse is ready for adoption, they go through a process of handling, evaluation, and consistent training to build confidence and trust.

Some 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐝𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 to people. Others need help learning new routines or rebuilding skills they may have lost.

Every step is intentional, ensuring each horse is not only healthy but prepared to succeed in their next pasture.

Obi Wan and Princess Leia ✨

We are so thrilled for these two icons to be living their best life together in such an amazing home!

We rescued both horses from separate cruelty cases around the same time and they both have come so incredibly far after arriving at the ranch in such poor condition.

Thank you to their adopters for sharing such a beautiful update with us! 🥰

Happy Trails Together, Obi and Leia!!

Caring for horses also means caring for the land. Safe fencing, healthy pastures, and clean water systems all help ensure horses have a safe environment to recover.

As redevelopment continues, improvements to pasture layout, land management, and infrastructure strengthen the environment where horses heal.

𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞. 𝐑𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. 𝐑𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠.

When people think about animal rescue, they often picture dogs and cats. But horses in North Texas face many of the same challenges—neglect, abandonment, and situations where care is no longer possible.

The Ranch exists to give these horses a safe place to land, recover, and begin again.

Each horse that arrives brings a different story, but the goal remains the same: 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡, 𝐫𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞.

Every horse that leaves the ranch for a new home represents months of dedication from the ranch team. Rehabilitation includes 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐯𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞, 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 to prepare each horse for adoption.

Seeing a horse leave healthy and confident is one of the most meaningful moments of rescue work.
