A huge congratulations to our Vocational Nursing students who recently completed their IV Certification course! 💉🎓

Thanks to the generous support of the Copper Mountain College Foundation and its donors, these seven future nurses had the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on training and expand their clinical skills at no cost to them.

This certification is an important step in preparing our students for successful careers in healthcare and strengthening the healthcare workforce in our region.

Thank you to everyone who supports the Foundation and helps make opportunities like this possible. Your investment is changing lives and helping our students reach their goals.

At Copper Mountain College, students thrive because of the incredible dedication of our classified professionals. Every day, you work behind the scenes and on the front lines to serve, support, encourage, organize, repair, welcome, and care for our campus community.

You are the steady foundation that helps our students succeed — creating welcoming spaces, solving problems, keeping operations running, and offering kindness and guidance when it matters most.

Today, we celebrate and honor each of you for the vital role you play in fulfilling the mission of Copper Mountain College. Thank you for your hard work, commitment, and heart. Our college is stronger because of you.

A huge congratulations to our talented student artists and writers at Copper Mountain College whose creative work has been officially published in the 2026 edition of Howl, Copper Mountain College’s annual art and literary magazine!

Special recognition goes to student artist Alex Stendebach, who proudly signed our copy of Howl featuring his original cartoon character “Alex the WOLFONLY” on page 1. Seeing student creativity move from the classroom into print is exactly what makes the arts so important at CMC.

Howl showcases the imagination, talent, and voices of our students through art, poetry, photography, stories, and creative expression. For many contributors, this marks their very first published work — an exciting milestone and accomplishment they will always remember.

We are proud to celebrate the next generation of artists, storytellers, and creators who continue to make the CMC community vibrant, expressive, and inspiring. Congratulations to all of the students featured in the 2026 edition of Howl! 🎨📚🐺

Flat Spike’s Summer Adventure 🌵☀️

Meet Flat Spike — the coolest, spikiest traveler from Copper Mountain! One day, Spike had a BIG idea…
“What if I could go on summer adventures with YOU?” he said with a grin.

So, Spike flattened himself (don’t worry, he’s very flexible!) and packed his tiny imaginary backpack, ready to explore the world with new friends.

The Journey Begins
Flat Spike hopped into a backpack and headed off on his first adventure. Everywhere he went, he made new friends and took pictures to share back home.
At the beach, Spike felt the warm sand between his… well, flat feet! “Surf’s up!” he laughed, even though he mostly just floated on a towel.
In the mountains, Spike climbed to the top (with a little help) and looked out over the world. “Now THIS is a view!” he cheered.
At a baseball game, Spike rooted for the home team, waving his tiny arms and posing for selfies with fans.

Flat Spike’s Favorite Part
But Spike’s favorite part wasn’t just the places—it was the people.
Everywhere he went, kids took pictures with him:
At parks 🌳
At family BBQs 🍔
On road trips 🚗
Even at the grocery store 🛒
Each photo told a story, and Spike loved every single one.

Sending Memories Home
At the end of each adventure, Flat Spike would send his photos back to Copper Mountain.
“Look where I’ve been!” he’d say. “I can’t wait to see where I go next!”
Your Turn!

Now Flat Spike wants to go on an adventure with YOU!

Take him along on your summer fun, snap some pictures, and share where he travels.
Because no matter where he goes, one thing is always true…
Spike + YOU = the best adventure ever! 🌵💙

From your Copper Mountain College Alumni Association:

From Copper Mountain College student leader to proud UC Irvine graduate — congratulations to Mariah Banerjee, Class of 2026! 🎓💙

The CMC Alumni Association proudly celebrates Mariah’s journey and achievements. We remember her well from her time at Copper Mountain College, where she served as the Student Representative on the Foundation Board as a young CMC student—already demonstrating the leadership, commitment, and heart that continue to define her today.

Many also recall her energy and school spirit as part of the halftime entertainment for Fighting Cacti basketball games, helping bring campus life to life in unforgettable ways.

Mariah was deeply engaged in the CMC community, and it has been inspiring to watch her continue her academic journey at the University of California, Irvine.

On behalf of the CMC Alumni Association, we are incredibly proud of you, Mariah Banerjee. Once a Cacti, always a Cacti. 🌵✨
