Copper Mountain College Foundation

Copper Mountain College Foundation CMC Foundation focuses on supporting students and their goals! Our efforts are community based w/love Roy Greenleaf Jr.

Foundation Ensures Excellence in Education for All

Established in 2001, Copper Mountain College Foundation is designated to receive gifts for the college from individuals, corporations and foundations. Just as it is with other educational
institutions, our college needs charitable gifts to endow scholarships and support educational programs and capital improvements that can
mean the difference be

tween ordinary and extraordinary programs and services for student success. The Foundation’s mission, to maximize educational opportunities in the Morongo Basin by supporting the programs, facilities and
activities of the Copper Mountain Community College District includes administering the F. Scholarship and the Alumni
Association as well as fundraising for current students’ programs. The Copper Mountain College Foundation, formerly Friends of
Copper Mountain College, is a 501c3 non-profit auxiliary organization, governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and overseen by the
college’s Board of Trustees. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. Annual Foundation events include the Golf Tournament,
Alumni BBQ, Fall Gala and Holiday Wreath Auction. It is vital that we maintain our high standard of excellence in education. California's community colleges educate 73 percent of the state's citizens, yet they receive only 11 percent of the per student state dollars for education. Clearly, your generosity has never been more important. With the help of our contributors and our continued success, Copper Mountain College will remain a pillar in the community, educating everyone interested in learning, and supporting programs that enhance the education process. A huge congratulations to our Vocational Nursing students who recently completed their IV Certification course! 💉🎓

Thanks to the generous support of the Copper Mountain College Foundation and its donors, these seven future nurses had the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on training and expand their clinical skills at no cost to them.

This certification is an important step in preparing our students for successful careers in healthcare and strengthening the healthcare workforce in our region.

Thank you to everyone who supports the Foundation and helps make opportunities like this possible. Your investment is changing lives and helping our students reach their goals.

Some traditions are too meaningful to let fade away.

Each year at Copper Mountain College, faculty and staff continue a tradition started by beloved science professor John White in 2000—the Graduation Rehearsal Breakfast. What began as a simple way to celebrate graduates before commencement has become a cherished part of the CMC experience.

Professor White devoted 38 years to teaching, mentoring, and encouraging students. Even after retiring in 2011, he returned each year to congratulate graduates and help serve breakfast with his trademark smile and sense of humor.

Today, the John White Memorial Graduation Breakfast carries on that legacy. Before walking across the commencement stage, graduates gather with the faculty and staff who have supported them along the way, sharing a meal, memories, and encouragement for the future.

As we continue this tradition, we honor Professor White’s dedication to students and the spirit of community that makes Copper Mountain College special. His legacy lives on in every graduate we celebrate.

You earned this.
You belong here.
Your story is still being written.✨

Tonight we celebrate the incredible graduates of Adult Education at Copper Mountain College — students receiving their high school diploma or GED through determination, courage, and perseverance.

Coming back to school as an adult takes heart. It takes resilience after long days, busy schedules, setbacks, sacrifices, and the decision to keep going anyway.

And tonight, you proved that it is never too late to believe in yourself.

We are so proud of every graduate who chose growth, hope, and a new beginning. Your journey inspires all of us, and this achievement belongs to you and everyone who supported you along the way.

Congratulations, graduates — your next chapter starts now. 🎓💙

These future first responders are now preparing to take the National Registry Exam (NREMT) — with exam costs covered through the Jeff Tabor Memorial EMT Scholarship Fund.

Thank you to our generous Foundation donors who continue to invest in student success, emergency medical education, and the future of healthcare in our community. Your support is helping students turn passion into purpose. ❤️

We are proud of each and every one of you. The finish line is here — and your journey is just beginning!
