Meet Winnie! 🍧

This little ragamuffin looks like she got dressed in a sheepdog costume and forgot to take it off. 😂🥰

Winnie is a mini sheepdog/terrier/schnoodle/ (who knows) mix, formerly known as Sputnik at the Yucca Valley Shelter. She came to us as part of a transfer to help Yucca Valley with overcrowding, and now this scruffy little cutie is ready for her next chapter!

She’s outgoing, full of personality, and pretty darn hard to resist. And the best part? Winnie is dog AND cat friendly! 🐶🐱

Now all she needs is someone to fall in love with that adorable face and make her part of the family. 🌟

Mondays are now for GOOD NEWS ONLY at Joshua Tree No-Kill Shelter! A little happiness to kick off the week 🥾

And we’re kicking things off with some very good news:

FRED HAS BEEN ADOPTED! 🎉

Our big hunk of love caught the eye of a wonderful couple, and they knew he was the one. Now this big boy is heading off to enjoy life with his very own family! We’re so happy for you, Fred. ❤️

Thank you for choosing to adopt and giving this sweet guy a home of his own! 🏡

P.S. Remember Fred’s sister, Wilma? We pulled them both from Yucca Valley Animal Shelter a few months ago, and while Fred has found his family, Wilma is still waiting for hers. 🥹 Keep an eye out for her post later this week. We’d love to see her get her happy ending, too!

🎉 OUR TEDDY GRAHAM IS ADOPTED!! 🐻

We were starting to get worried that Teddy was creeping into the “most overlooked dogs” category at our shelter. And then along came this amazing couple. 🥹

They had visited some other shelters looking for a calm guy. They came to meet Teddy, met him first… and didn’t even want to meet anyone else. 🥰

They’re keeping his name, too! And apparently, once Teddy got home, he decided he had been hiding his true personality from us because this “calm guy” is actually SUPER playful. 😂

But they don’t care. They love him exactly as he is. ❤️

Teddy was so shy and shut down when he first came to us. Now he has a brother that he LOVES and a family of his own.

Now that Teddy is home and feeling safe, he’s turned into a total social butterfly. 🦋🐻

Thank you for seeing our Teddy Bear, giving him a chance, and giving him a home where his true self can finally come through. ❤️

Rescue dogs really are the best. 🐾

Let’s start the week with some HAPPY NEWS!! 🥳

Our kooky little Frenchie, Jeff, is ADOPTED!! ❤️

Lisa applied for Jeff the very same night we posted him and showed up bright and early the next morning to meet him. ☀️
She was the very first person to meet him and spent about an hour hanging out with him in his kennel.

And because every Frenchie deserves a little flair, (Lisa’s Chihuahua is named Chapo) so Jeff is officially Jefe to match. 🤣

We LOVE this!

Lisa is the absolute sweetest and was so excited to pick her new guy up. She even kept checking our Instagram to make sure we weren’t still posting him. 😂

Thank you, Lisa, for choosing to adopt and giving this goofy little guy the loving home he deserves!

Congratulations Jefe! Go live your best little Frenchie life. 🍁🐶
