💔 Abandoned. Sick. Then hidden in a hoodie pocket and stolen from our shelter.

One of our abandoned kittens was taken from Clayton County Humane Society by someone who had just completed 60 hours of community service with us. She concealed him in the front pocket of her hoodie and left with him without permission.

He was sick. He had just seen the veterinarian and received medication and fluids. He needed continued care and monitoring—and someone took him from the people making sure he received it.

We welcomed this person into our shelter to help vulnerable animals. We trusted her around little lives we work so hard to protect.

Thankfully, we got him back. Charges have been filed.

This little boy had already been abandoned. He deserved a safe place to recover, gentle hands, and the chance to find a loving family. Instead, he was taken.

He couldn’t tell anyone he was sick. He couldn’t ask for his medicine or tell us where he was. He depended on us to find him.

Please share his story and help us give him a better next chapter. Your support through volunteering, donating, and adopting helps us care for animals who have already been through far too much.

He has been abandoned. He has been stolen. Now he deserves to heal and be loved. 🐾❤️
