Student Leadership NORTH

Student Leadership NORTH SLNorth is a program that trains emerging student leaders from Johns Creek, Roswell, and Alpharetta. Pisgah and Providence - Johns Creek.

Student Leadership NORTH is a two-year program for emerging leaders in sophomore and junior classes who are zoned for Centennial, Chattahoochee, Johns Creek, Northview, Alpharetta High Schools, Innovation Academy, Mt. During year one, leadership skills will be developed and then utilized in a mentorship program to younger students. The second year students will focus on the skills learned during y

ear one in two different independent multimedia projects. Our hope is for students to become catalysts for change in their schools and communities. A diverse class of young adults will be introduced to a core curriculum of leadership skills including goal setting, project management, team building, and communication skills. Opportunities will be provided to explore local, county, and state government as well as local non-profit organizations. Students will be able to identify areas of need within the community where they can put their leadership skills and knowledge into practice by planning and implementing community service projects. Graduates will then facilitate leadership training and development at their respective schools, under advisement of the school's faculty sponsor.

It was a pleasure to speak at the Johns Creek Central Rotary Club last week! I brought along four of our current Secretary of State Ambassadors, who fielded questions about our upcoming debates and shared what they've learned through our program.

These student leaders are such great examples of what Student Leadership NORTH is all about.

It was so fun to catch up with SLJC alums and former Championship Secretary of State Ambassadors Balaga and Peramanu the other day! These two are AMAZING. They took the leap — walked away from corporate America to build a business together — and they are absolutely thriving in NYC.

SLNorth kicked off its 2026-27 program at Odyssey Escape Games! 🎉 170 students from 7 schools escaped challenging games in record time, bonding with their peers. The 15-year program will feature monthly meetups, community projects, online portfolios, and business shadowing. Stay tuned for a candidate debate on Sept 16th! 📅
