Finding sobriety is not where the addiction ends, it is where the caution tape gets put up around the crime scene and the investigation begins.
Putting down the dope is a big step towards freedom, but unfortunately for most, the building is still on fire.🔥🔥 Drugs are NEVER the real the problem, their just the voices that screams out that something inside is damaged or broken.
Most people will look at someone in addiction and all they see is self-destruction, never caring to investigate WHY this self-destruction was such a form of relief. Most addicts are not paying for a high, they are paying for a "cease fire" from the war thats going on in their mind. Paying for a temporary eviction from their own existence. Purchasing a silence from the internal voices. And when we find sobriety, and remove the substance thats been silencing these voices, the things that we been silencing IS STILL THERE. Therefore, sometimes the very first thing that sobriety gives us is not peace, but it gives you unrestricted access to everything you was using drugs to avoid. This is why inner-healing is so important.
