16 years of service, growth, and commitment to helping others through some of life’s hardest situations.

Deitra represents what it means to lead with compassion, strength, and purpose.

Deitra Neal serves as Interim Executive Director of Fair Haven and has been supporting victims of domestic violence since November 17, 2009. She advanced from Shelter Manager (2009–2010) to Case Manager (2010–2014), Senior Case Manager (2014–2018), and Program Director (2018–Present), where she oversees operations and leads grant writing and funding efforts.

With over 16 years of service, Deitra is deeply committed to ensuring survivors know they are not alone and remains dedicated to advocating for and supporting those in need.

As a team, we are incredibly thankful for Deitra and the leadership she brings to Fair Haven every day. She reminds us that there is a true difference between being a boss and being a leader, and she leads with compassion, strength, and heart.

We are grateful to have her guiding and inspiring us in the work we do.

Sometimes the best things happening in a community never make the news.

It’s the volunteer quietly serving meals.
The teacher encouraging a child who needs it most.
The local organization helping families get back on their feet.
The neighbor who shows up when someone is hurting.

Those moments are happening every day right here in Wayne County.

At FBA Foundation, our mission is simple, support the people and organizations who are making a real difference in our community.

From helping local nonprofits,
to recognizing young people of character, to stepping in when someone needs a helping hand.

We believe faith should move us to action.

We are grateful for every person in this community who believes in lifting others up.

Sometimes the greatest blessing is simply being the reason someone doesn’t give up.

This is what giving back to your hometown looks like. 💚

Wayne County’s own T.Y. McGill JR. spent 10 years in the NFL, and now he’s investing in the next generation right here at home by helping protect our kids online through the CyberSafely program.

Success isn’t just about what you accomplish in life… it’s about what you come back and do for your community.

What a blessing it is to dive into God’s Word together each week. These girls are such a gift, and there is truly no greater joy than seeing them walk in the truth. So thankful for the work God is doing in their lives.
