Another successful meeting with Anchored in Wellness and the Wayne County Recovery Coalition. Today’s conversation focused on strengthening families, supporting our youth, and creating healthier connections within our community.

It’s inspiring to see people come together, pull up a chair, and be part of meaningful conversations that help create a safer, healthier future for the families we serve. 💜💜

A huge thank you to Sloan, Tim’s Medical, and Triple B Liquidators for the generous donation of school supplies for children experiencing domestic violence. 📚✏️💜

Your kindness and support help provide comfort, encouragement, and the tools children need to continue learning during difficult times. We are incredibly grateful for community partners who continue to show up for the children and families we serve.

✨ We Are Proud to Welcome Our New Executive Director, Deitra Neal ✨

While Deitra Neal may be brand new to the title of Executive Director at Fair Haven Women’s Shelter, she is certainly not new to the work, leadership, or mission behind it. For the past 16 years, Deitra has dedicated her time to protecting, advocating for, and empowering women and children affected by domestic violence. She has also spent years helping lead and strengthen our organization through grant writing, program support, advocacy, and ensuring our shelter continues to grow and meet the needs of those we serve.

Deitra works tirelessly behind the scenes with community supports and on the front lines to ensure the women and children who enter our shelter have far more than just the basic necessities. Through securing and writing grants, building resources, and creating opportunities for our shelter, she continually fights to provide safety, comfort, healing, and hope for every family that walks through our doors.

Her dedication extends far beyond advocacy alone. Deitra works endlessly to ensure our shelter grounds, staff, and programs are cared for, supported, maintained, and continually improving. Her passion for excellence and her heart for helping others can be seen in every aspect of Fair Haven Women’s Shelter.

She is truly a cornerstone of this organization, a powerhouse of strength, compassion, resilience, and leadership. Deitra leads with grace, determination, and a servant’s heart, always putting the needs of women and children first.

We are beyond grateful for her vision, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to this mission. Fair Haven Women’s Shelter continues to grow and thrive because of leaders like Deitra Neal who pour their heart into making a difference every single day.

Please join us in warmly welcoming and celebrating Deitra Neal as our new Executive Director. 💜

Together, we continue standing for hope, healing, restoration, and empowerment for women and children in our community.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Jesup First United Women in Faith for their hard work, dedication, and loving hearts in putting together these beautiful welcome baskets for the women at the domestic violence shelter. Because of your kindness and generosity, women and children fleeing domestic violence will have essential hygiene products and household necessities during a very difficult time in their lives.

These baskets are more than just supplies, they are a reminder that they are loved, supported, and not alone. Thank you for making such a meaningful difference in our community through your compassion and servant hearts.”
