Located in the Capital of Missouri, the Jefferson City R/C Club was chartered in 1983 as Academy of Model Aeronautics Club #1919. The Joseph Miller Memorial Flying Field was established in cooperation with Jefferson City Parks and Recreation.

Yes! So much yes! We enjoyed yet another near perfect fall weather afternoon/evening at the JC Parks Joseph Miller Memorial Park and Jefferson City Radio Control Club flying field on Thursday, 10/29/26. The sky looked gorgeous and the wind was STRAIGHT down the runway, which is always the best kind of wind, if there must be wind (and there usually is). We are definitely going to miss these days when the icy grip of winter shows up. Here are some photos of the planes and activities.

We have had such a great run of awesome RC flying weather during October 2026 and it appears that it will continue until the end of the month - then the time change and weather will greatly reduce the opportunities to fly. We're going to take advantage of it while we can though. These photos were taken on Tuesday evening, 10/27/26, at the JC Parks Joseph Miller Memorial Park and the Jefferson City Radio Control Club flying field. We heard good reports from people out enjoying the JC Parks seasonal hay rides that they were able to watch our planes as they were enjoying other services and fun provided by our parks department. 😎 We hope to be out flying again on our regular Thursday afternoon/evening club flying day. It happened again at the JC Parks Joseph Miller Memorial Park, and the Jefferson City Radio Control Club members were ready to take advantage of it...another incredible fall weather day on Monday, 10/26/26. We had Navy livery well represented on this day! Kevin Cline brought out his great looking Beechcraft D-18, Bret Fischer brought out his T-28, and Shaun Zimmerman had his T-28 on hand, all with the Navy color schemes which looked great against the fall foliage. Chris Byrd flew his orange & black AeroScout which also matched. It looks like this fantastic weather is only going to last until the end of this week, so we plan to fly as often as we can. We also got to enjoy an incredible moon-rise as we packed up and headed home. See you at the flying field!

How was your Sunday? We had a really enjoyable one in the middle of the Missouri autumn weather on 10/25/26 at the JC Parks Joseph Miller Memorial Park and Jefferson City Radio Control Club flying field where several of us gathered to enjoy the low-wind, perfect temperature afternoon. We have been highly blessed to have several days in a row like this that has allowed us more flight time than the rest of the year combined. There have been several maiden flights, including one by Bret Fischer with his E-Flite T-28 featured in these photos and, of course, flights with our tried and trusted model airplanes. Flying skills have improved, friendships have been strengthened, and we have felt the joy that only a hobby can bring. Thanks to everyone that came out to fly, visit, and spectate. Thanks to JC Parks for providing us with such a great venue where we can enjoy the Radio Control hobby. Here are some photos of the activities that took place.
