We made the news! Rosie and her son, Remi, are residents of a Transformational Housing property. Their story was featured on Saturday, April 25 in the News Tribune. The article focused on Central Missouri Community Action Agency's Community Conversations event. Rosie spoke her three-year old son who was born premature and has health challenges. Today the family is living in Transformational Housing property and her son's health is improving and the family is working on short and long term budgeting plans.

Kathy Holliday, Transformational Housing Family Support Manage, joined one of our residents to tell her story at Central Missouri Community Action Agency Talking Books resource fair today. Our resident shared her story and the positive life changes she and and her family have experienced since moving into a Transformational Housing apartment.

REAL ESTATE
Progress continues at 101 Jackson Street. Our volunteer crews led by Kyle Kittrell poured over 42 yards of concrete this week. The floor looks great.

A huge thank you to Kehlson from Columbia Scout Troop 708 for donating two wonderful picnic tables for the outdoor area at one of our properties. Thank you, Kehlson, for selecting Transformational Housing as the recipient of your Eagle Scout project. These tables will create many memories. Kehlson, is grandson of our construction manager Kyle Kittrell. We appreciate both of you!!

Progress is happening at 101 Jackson Street. When complete this property will feature five quality, affordable apartments for area working families.

Thank you to the Jefferson City Newcomers and Neighbors Association for making Easter baskets for the kiddos in our program. There was so much joy by the kids and appreciation by the parents. You are appreciated!

We are truly blessed to have the BEST volunteers.

An amazing fact about our East McCarty property….

Wonderful people from our community contributed over 10,000 volunteer hours to this property.

This labor of love made a considerable impact, given that a standard build of this type would range from $250.00 to $300.00 per square foot; however because of the great people in our community giving of their time, the East McCarty property was build for $125.00 per square foot.

This afternoon, we had our quarterly gathering, a time where we come together with the residents for a devotion, food, fellowship, updates, and best of all, share in the celebrations!! Two of our residents saved money and purchased vehicles with cash. This is huge, as transportation can be such a barrier in employment. One resident shared the joy of reunification with her child - what a blessing it is to have families reunited. Another resident was happy to share that she got a new full-time job. We celebrate with them on these amazing accomplishments.
