Heat index for tomorrow was upgraded. So,

The Curry park board has made the decision to keep our kids the #1 priority. We are going to be following AYFL toybowl organization’s lead and We are going to be postponing this week’s games to next Saturday. The posted schedule that the coaches have will be identical, Just moved to the 22nd.

Kicking off our fall ball season tomorrow. It's going to be HOT! 🌞🌞🌞

Fall ball is for getting reps, learning/growing as an athlete, and overcoming adversity. Part of that learning and growing is learning how to beat the heat! Lets help em out:

-Parents: Be sure kids arrive to the park well hydrated and continue to drink plenty of water for the time they are outdoors. Parents are welcome and encouraged to bring cooling towels, fans, canopies, etc. (team coolers are allowed to be brought by coaches)
Keep an eye on your kids and others for signs of heat exhaustion: heavy sweating, extreme tiredness or weakness, dizziness, headache, and nausea.

-Coaches: Rotate your kids out often (especially catchers) and be aware of the signs listed above! Coaches are encouraged to bring team coolers! A giant cooler full of water and ice for the kids is a whole heck of a lot cheaper than purchasing from our concession stand.

-Umpires: Our umpires have been asked to keep an eye on kids closely as well. The children are our number one priority! Short cool-off breaks may be needed at times... no game is more important than the health of your children.

We NEED one more 5/6 baseball team to fill out our schedule. If you are coaching a team in this age group please help us, this may affect the ability to field that entire age group!
